It was always the city where Chael Kyan found himself. The forests only held a dull fascination. Perhaps it was simply that he wished to mirror the decay within his soul with that of his surroundings. Perhaps that was why he only sought to reside in the most decrepit of places. And decrepit this place was, the very walls on the verge of collapse and dripping rainwater from the storm that was just beginning to dissipate. As always, the beast was utterly intoxicated, barely able to see or focus on the bricks before him. He moved on four legs, rare for the luperci, and swayed with each step, nearly collapsing. Chael Kyan was a coward, thus he constantly had to drown his consciousness in poisons that clouded his soul. He'd wanted to be just like his father. He'd wanted to gain his love, and have his father see him as his favorite, prized son, not Hale. He'd raped that woman simply to mimic the sins of his sire, and this was what had happened to his soul, burning under his own sins and he'd yet to even fall into the pits of hell. He'd wanted to be the apple of his eye and have him look on him with pride. But his father had sought retribution for his deeds before Chael had even committed his first atrocity. He'd gone about it in the wrong way. And Chael was far too much of a coward to even seek forgiveness for what he'd done. Collapsing into a pile beneath an outcrop of collapsed building, the wolf closed his eyes, the world spinning around him.
