The downpour was sudden, quickly soaking everything with a sheet of cold rain. The storm almost appeared to be fooling them at first, starting for only a second as a drizzle before launching a more intense assault. Lightning flashed again, revealing a clearer view of the falling sheets and making the storm seem even harsher. Thunder followed quickly after, proving that the storm was really getting started. He nodded to his unfamiliar companion, lifting himself off of the ground. “That sounds like a good idea.”

They were a bit far from the shelter of the forests, but there had to be some sort of shelter nearby, giving them a quick, safe travel. His eyes searched through the darkness along the cliff-face not too far from the sea, trying to find what had looked like caves earlier. More lightning poured from the sky, illuminating the area for a moment and helping him spot the area. Some of the caves appeared to dip into tide pools, but a few were more distanced from the water and definitely drier. He motioned toward the caves, taking a step forward in the dark. “I think I see some caves over here. We could try to wait out the storm there.”
