Zana had been sitting on the beach staring at the giant carcass of the beast that had been blown upon the beach during the storm. The largest mass of seagulls she'd ever seen had been gathering about the creature and picking their fill from it's body. Zana was surprised at how quickly the massive frame had already begun to diminish. Beneath the skin a lot of the blubber had been eaten away at and she could see the bones of the massive whale showing white in the sunlight. Her mind was slowly beginning to tick away at all the things she could use the bone for. They would make excellent darts, far better than the wooden ones she used now.. and she could make better pikes and spears.. The carcass was like a blessing in disguise. Now she just had to figure out how to get the bones from the beast.
The small form of the girl quickly scaled the large form of the whale that was starting to smell. She wrinkled her nose at the smell as she began to poke and pry at the thick flesh of the beast, for once ignoring the seagulls as she tossed the chunks of flesh and blubber to the noisy birds as she began to dive into the ribcage of the massive fish. She would skin and butcher the creature if it was the last thing she did. When Zana wanted something Zana got it.
