Well, it seemed that Lubomir's luck was running thin. The grey wolf's ladder had broken once more. This time, though, no amount of searching would help him find the necessary tools to fix it. Dahlia lacked a craftsman and there was only so much he knew on his own, so a new journey was in order. He'd salvaged as much of the ladder as possible, taking the broken pieces in a wheelbarrow and heading on west, through the forest. He wanted out of the Dahlian lands, on his own, using this time to think about the choices he had made so far and what he would do next. Everything recently had been a mess, every single thought a chore. Meeting Slay had been a nice distraction, a break from his own head, but the rain was not helping. It kept on pouring endlessly, every waking moment drowned out by the ceaseless rain.

Even now, as he headed through the unfamiliar forest, the grey wolf could not escape the lashing of the drops on his fur. He hoped the roof would hold out enough, he hoped he would be able to fix this ladder or find a suitable replacement before more books took damage. To keep the wood from getting too wet, he had used one of his tarpaulins, a sturdy material he rather enjoyed. This far from Dahlia, there would be no distraction from that burning liquid, no interest in visiting packs, nothing. He rather hoped that he could find a place to work, although the forest proved unyielding. Lubomir sighed, thinking he would have to trek back home and search towards Inferni. Suddenly, a cabin loomed between the trees and the grey wolf sighed in relief. "Oh thank the gods."

Lubomir went in, leaving the wheelbarrow outside for now. It was an old cabin, yes, but there seemed to be a small amount of tools and it would suffice. Sadly, there were no books on how to actually fix the darn ladder. Putting his head in his paws, the wolf let out a low howl. He would need a stiff one before the day was out, that much was becoming clear.
