The Sadira puppy had slept in late that day. Her body was exhausted from all the excitement that had experienced in the previous day. But she had slept too much, and so she was still tired when she woke up. With a great yawn (or several great yawns) Amata sprung up and shook herself, attempting to get the sleep away from her. When that succeeded only marginally, she decided to go outside. Perhaps fresh air and her normal activities of exploring would do her well. And yet, still, as she walked from the mansion’s porch, the fresh air was unable to shake the exhaustion from her. "Oh wells," the young girl commented. And then she took off at a slow saunter, humming a random and equally slow tune as she went. Her thoughts were scattered and difficult to control because of her exhaustion, and so she did not realize where she was going until a familiar red shape began to loom upon the horizon. The dulled eyes lit up. "Oh, hello, O’d Red," she said as if it had been the barn that had come to visit. Whatever the case may have been, the girl was excited for the unexpected visit, and so her pace quickened so that she could greet the old building.

Amata paused at the barn’s large door, her bright eyes staring into the cool darkness. "Hello!" the little girl called, her voice bright and friendly. She did not expect anyone to answer, but she called it anyway. Maybe there would be a bat or a bird who would hear the called ‘hello’, and she knew that there would definitely be bugs who would hear. Spiders lived all over the hay, and they walked with their funny legs that, recently, she had discovered were more numbered than most bugs. She breathed in the cool air, smelling the hay distinctly. It reminded her of Bay-yawd’s breath, which, she concluded, made sense because he would eat hay and grass. Finally, when she had been satisfied with standing at the door of the barn, she stepped in as if the old barn had invited her. "Thank yous," she said with a nod to the threshold, and then she had trotted into the darkness.

The white puppy was still tired after her great adventure of the day before, and she wanted to take an easy day. So, instead of running to the top floor to leap off into a stable full of hay, she went straight to a stable, one that seemed to hold an ample amount of the grassy stuff. Nodding quietly to herself, Amata jumped right it, exclaiming, "Wee—yeah!" as she went. Snuggling up, Amata made a little ball on top of the hay pile, and, sure enough, several spiders scurried away. "Sorry, spiders," she whispered after them. "I’s wont stays all days." The cream-hued pup only wanted to relax. She was happy, and she was happy because yesterday she had played with Cambi and Got’am, and she had even played with Mati! With a contented sigh, the little girl rolled onto her back and allowed her paws to press up against her arms as she stared up into the dark ceiling and began to daydream about all things.
