Yaya. New om nom table! 300 + for Noir!

His ever-growing love for food and exotism had inevitably led him to more discoveries. Earlier that day, he'd taken a little trip to Halifax; a place he now held close to his heart. There he'd discovered culinary goodness once more. It was a good thing he couldn't carry more than a bag full of ingredients, or the shops would've been empty in record time. Carrying things back and forth over long distances put an enormous strain on his back, so the Quebecois had taken it easy this time by carefully choosing lighter things to bring home. Vegetable seeds, with which he planned to make a beautiful garden, were now in his possession along with several vials of cooking herbs: rosemary, mint, parsley and basil amongst a few others.

The garden creation could wait. His trip had drained him of the energy necessary to fulfill such an arduous task. He would get right on it after a good night’s sleep. But for now, seeing as the evening had just begun and it wasn’t quite time to sleep yet, Honoré had every intention of analyzing each and every culinary herb he’d brought home. Time and devotion was the key to a good degustation. Plus, Noir would surely poke her head through that front door sometime soon. It wasn’t uncommon for her to sleep over as of late. Although he didn’t mind, the Québécois couldn’t help but wonder if she planned on doing so permanently. He appreciated her, of course. But her friend, the baby duck, was definitely not one of his favorites.

Small piles of herbs and spices were laid out on the wooden table before him. Each of them had a distinct smell, making it easier for him to differentiate them all. Mint was his favorite thus far. Although he wanted nothing more than to give it a tentative lick, he would wait for Noir to assist him on his culinary journey or he’d never hear the end of it.
