It happens. Smile

Mason's dewclaws scrambled against the rocks as they made purchase on their craggy surface. After he felt as though he had a good sense of balance, he peered over the edge into the glittering water. Hezekiah's confidence in their plan gave the young boy faith that this effort would work. At least, it would work better than all of his previous attempts. Mason figured that anything had to be better than spitting out overly salty water for hours after his efforts.

The tawny-pelted boy grinned and nodded that he was in fact ready to make his first attempt at this method of fishing. His muscles tensed as he saw the tell-tale glimmer of fish scales, his heart pounding with excitement. It was difficult for him not to dance about in excitement, which would have caused him to fall off the rocks. He kept this in mind as his yellow eyes followed the glimmer-shadows of his targets.

The boy sprang into the ocean, splashing water about as he scrambled to catch a fish. Taking a deep breath, he plunged fast into the water, snapping at the slippery fish. He resurfaced twice, chasing after the fish in the water as they swam away frantically. After several seconds, his head emerged with a great surge of water, his oversized ears dripping. His teeth were exposed in a canine grin and he turned toward Hezekiah to show him that he had indeed captured some of their prey. A small, undersized fish hung from his teeth, flopping from side to side. He had managed to sink his teeth into the thin membrane of the fish's tail fin.
