Haku had been thoughtful after waking up later that odd night weeks before and realizing that yes, he was still alive. Of course, he knew that more than physical powers had to be put in motion in order to conquer his life force. The dark secui wondered if he had ever been closer, though. What was worse, it felt like as if he had been enchanted somehow by the scarred bitch that had humiliated him so by being victorious. Haku was not well, and his inside was constant chaos. Yet, he felt both love and hate for that spiteful woman. Haku was a cruel and unfair creature if anything, but he knew how to appreciate value. Gabriel was out after his head. Haku, being who he was, felt that there was nothing personal between himself and the Aquila of Inferni. Gabriel on the other hand ached to rip Haku’s heart and soul out. The de le Poer wanted to destroy him. Despite this, Haku held a strange respect for the man, simply because the Aquila was a worthy being.

Just like Gabriel, the nameless hybrid woman had been weighted and measures, and been found worthy. Haku would not stop now before he had tasted her blood once again. Despite what she had done to him, he caught himself wondering if he truly wished death upon her. It would be such a shame to extinguish such a magnificent individual. Oh, Haku knew how to appreciate those few who were something special. The forest of Ethereal Eclipse was quiet this early morning. The man could easily appreciate such a setting. The nameless hybrid with the odd star tattoo upon her chest had left her marks. The worst (in Haku’s opinion) would be the new slash across the left side of his muzzle. It was also the most painful one. Haku had noticed very little when it had been made. He was very tolerant of pain in general, but it ached every time he made a facial expression, every time he opened his mouth. Damn that woman.

The man decided to take a break under a tree particularly rich with leaves. This summer had wept heavily, and today too had brought rain together with a distant rumble of what could only be thunder.
