Someday Never Comes

Aw, I'm sorry! Hope you feel better. Smile

_____ Kansas didn’t exactly know what the true relationship his father had with Sun and Moon was. To him, they were just siblings, albeit older ones – he didn’t recognize that they were not related to Phoenix. He had treated them like his own children, so the cream boy assumed they were true sister and brother. And what did the words “sister and brother” mean to him? They were those simply those who shared the same mother and father. He played with them and loved them. His older siblings met this criteria as far as he was concerned, save for Sun, who didn't seem to be around.

_____ He glanced up at his father as he spoke, nearly tripping over a root that was bared above the earth as he did so. He understood, except he didn’t yet know what exactly a mountain was, either. It was a bit intimidating to ask, since he was frustrated that he didn’t know these things, anyway – he put that question on hold for later, or perhaps for someone else. “Sos, Bleeding Sou’s is jus’ a big valley? A rilly big valley?” he asked softly. Someday, he would make it his mission to get the whole of his home mapped out in his head, so he’d always know where he was. Even now, he was showing signs of wanting to be aware of where he lived – he was paying close attention to the layout of Storm, though he’d probably forget later and have to explore again when he was a bit older.
