Xeris had decided to spend the day at the beach. She had been wandering along the coastline in her optime form, relaxing and taking in the sunlight. For the first time in a while, it wasn't raining or storming. A few fluffy white clouds decorated the clear blue sky, but other than that the sun was shining full force upon the earth. The white wolfess felt her toes warmed by the sand as it took in the sun's heat. The roaring waves beside her were gentle and calming. It was really a perfect day. She'd been thinking about Pendzez. Of course, that was what she thought about most of the time nowadays. She really did love him, and wanted to be with him, but today, she wanted to think on her own for a while. It was hard for her to believe that she had a mate now. If her mother could see her now, she would be proud. But Xeris knew that her mother was far away, if she was even still alive. And thinking of mothers, Xeris wondered if Pendzez wanted pups. It would be an interesting experience, becoming a mother. And Xeris was thinking that she was almost ready for that experience. But she hadn't been around many pups beside Rendall, and the little bluish-furred pup was growing into a young adult now. Perhaps she'd need a bit more experience around children... |
