For a moment he stood where he was, listening, and finally catching the scent that came as the wind turned. Without pause, he made his way towards the source, and found there a woman as old as his long-gone mother.

It meant something about her, of course, but Gabriel was sure he would hear that story in time. “Do you need something?” Spoken shortly, his mother’s cold gold-yellow eyes on the elder figure.
