The alcohol had taken a hold of them both. Though Silas would act differently in different situations, the feeling that spread over his body made him only want to lie in that soft grass longer. Had Anatoliy been there, perhaps they would have stirred up some havoc, but for now, the young Russian was perfectly content with just lying back in the grass with Heath at his side. He liked the Cour de Miracles man, he had decided. After this night, he slightly hoped that he’d run into him again. Heath just seemed like a fun guy to be around – or maybe it was just the alcohol that made them both seem compatible as friends.
Through heavy lids, the Russian’s icy eyes studied Heath as he threw his bottle into the abyss of the city. What Silas could focus on was what was here and now, and the bottle had been lost in the outskirts of his mind. There was no taking back Heath’s action, but Silas did not mind so much that the vodka had been lost. There would be more where that came from. And for now, the young Russian was doing just fine. A ridiculous grin caught his features as he gazed up towards the sky, feeling perfectly content. At Heath’s words, Silas merely turned his head and studied the man. It took just moments for the words to sink in, and the Russian let his smile slide not only over his features, but deep into his frame and mix in with the satisfaction his body felt.
