maybe tokyo could tell them a bit about all hallow's eve and this can count as a ddm challenge thread? Big Grin 396 words

Tokyo sat on the rocking chair in front of her den, taking advantage of the break in the rain by enjoying the meager sunlight. The chair was fairly well-wrought; Rath had done a good job of it, it was a shame he had left the pack, she could have come up with many more various woodworking projects for him to keep busy with. A small leather pouch rested on the ground beside the chair, and various blue and violet feathers stuck out from the top of the bag. Reaching down to her side, she pulled it onto her lap and rifled through it. Picking out the longest and fullest one, she set the pouch back down on the ground and positioned the feather on the edge of the green purse she was holding. Pushing needle through that cloth, she sewed the feather onto her purse.

These were the feathers from the bird that Catalyst had caught; they were supposed to make necklaces with them, but she hadn't caught the young girl's scent anywhere on the territory for a while, so as far as Tokyo was concerned any claim the white child might have had on them was lost. She had already sewed five feathers onto the green purse she liked to carry around, and it was already five hundred times more beautiful. Everyone was going to be jealous when she was done, and she would still have so many leftover feathers! She had found the needle and thread in Berwick, as well as the leather pouch to hold the feathers and a pair of scissors. Maybe she'd make a necklace or something with some of the extras.

The absence of Princess was getting harder to deal with. Every day it seemed clearer that she wasn't going to be coming back. All her things were gone. Sure, some of the emptiness had been replaced with Addison, but.. Still. That was just supposed to make Princess jealous when she came back. Yeah, Tokyo liked Addison alright, but it wasn't the same as your own daughter, your own flesh and blood, your own beautiful thing that you created. Colibri hadn't known anything about the situation. Tokyo would probably have to go to Cercelee, soon. Blah, she hated the idea of having to talk to her leaders. It was much better to lie low and garner the minimal amount of attention.
