It did not come. He did not come for her—not yet. Death had yet to enter the room, and as far as Kaena could tell, she was certainly still grounded in her own body. There was no pain, just the sharp prod of his teeth against her throat, tightening slowly. Did he mean to suffocate her rather than tear her throat out? The hybrid couldn't bear that thought, and her breath increased rapidly, suckling at the precious air, very aware she could be unlikely to taste it again. Even the musty library scent was better than not breathing, even that was better than no air at all.

There was a sudden, strange sensation of his tongue against her throat, and for a moment the hybrid froze, utterly confused and taken aback at the strange action, her body going stiff beneath his. The constant growl fell silent for a moment, and the coyote dared to squeeze her eye open just a little, surprised by the sudden sound of his voice, the loosening of his teeth from her throat. Her sable ears were already buried into her silvery mane, and she shrank back and away from him, not liking at all that word, that tone—it was all too familiar to Kaena, and in an instant she was a scared and shaking child again, held beneath her half-brother in quite the same manner.

There was a sudden release of her wrist, his fingers finding her scarred face. Her muzzle twisted into a pained snarl as they trailed lower on her grizzled body, his fingers rudely grasping for her breast. The hybrid could only whimper softly at his words, her yellow-gold eye squeezed shut and shakes like convulsions rippling through her body. His voice was Kairo's, he was Kairo, she was not even a year old anymore, her very teeth rattling. Maybe it was better than dying, some dim, morose part of her sulked, just as it always had, and the hybrid began to shut down, her freed hand simply curling into her body, unable to fight back against him in the least. If she did, she died anyway, so what was the point in that? The silvery hybrid had never so much as lifed a paw to her half-brother when he'd abused her, and old habits died hard.

There was no question he was in control; Haku Soul had gained the upper hand, beyond and without a doubt. The silvery hybrid was pressed flat to the earth as he pressed his weight against her, now tipped with a deadly desire sliding against her fur, letting her know exactly what was in store. Again, it was too familiar to Kaena; there was nothing Haku could imagine for her in this manner of assault that her half-brother had not already perpetrated on her. The hybrid woman had sworn not to let it happen again, she had vowed to herself that no one would ever have her in that way again, but here she was, a fucking yellow coward cringing beneath a man's body, unable to so much as defend herself.
