A passiveness had come over her mind, and she drifted away from the present moment, her head unable to process the idea that she was deriving pleasure from this act. It was impossible; Kairo had never once given her even an inkling of pleasure; the hybrid woman simply could not handle this detail, and so her mind distinctly split from her body, which continued to tremble in a not-so-fearful way beneath the chocolatey wolf; the coyote woman drew in a gasping breath, the edges of her vision beginning to dim. Unconsciousness—she pleaded for it, hoped for it, and even prayed—the silvery hybrid who had never bowed her head to any god, she whispered a short one to anyone who listened. The hybrid prayed to every dead person she had ever known, pleading for Zulifer, Ahren, even Salvaged—though the last of this list would have simply laughed at her plight. Ghosts and gods couldn't help her, though, and she remained beneath him, her consciousness slipping away as her oxygen level slowly decreased, her breath wheezing just barely from her scarred muzzle.

His hand lifted and she inhaled a huge breath, gulping at the air that she had been denied. He seemed to lose some of his brutality, and that only served to drive her body further toward its conclusion, further betraying the idea that this was, in fact, unwanted. Kaena's nerves didn't know the difference; her pleasure zones certainly didn't, and as his pace increased to fever pitch the hybrid felt herself sail over the edge, her body quaking in an orgasm that was as mentally painful as it was physically pleasurable, and a snarl showed on her face, the half-strangled, rasping moan shifting to growl midway through. He collapsed then, his terrible weight still crushing her to the ground, pinning her there; his hot breath sounded as he panted. She half-expected his fangs then, the reverse of a black widow.

The silvery hybrid remained as still as she could, though trembling aftershocks still wracked her body, her sable ears pressed as far back into her shaggy mane as possible, her good eye shut tightly and turned to the ground, her dead socket staring up at Haku without seeing a damn thing, just as she wanted it. He pulled up and away from her, and still she did not move until she heard him stagger away. Frozen still, the hybrid did not even twitch until she heard him leave the building entirely his footsteps fading fast outside of the library. She sat up slowly, her fingers clutching at her bleeding shoulder, her legs drawing up to her chest as she felt his essence slither from her, her breath coming raggedly as she steeled herself not to cry. No, no—she could not help it; tears spilled down from her good eye and matted her fur, his scent permeating her silvery fur. She did not move for a long time, what might have been hours or days or years, until finally, she drew herself up, forgetting anything she came with as she left the library, meandering aimlessly until she heard the coast.
