Not well acquainted with Anselm at all, the young girl’s reaction was to step away when he rose and mumbled a happy birthday to himself and stalked out of the room. A distasteful frown wanted to caress her face with light confusion and aversion, but her mind found it better to focus on Kaena’s words, which revealed to be more of the same. So what if it was Anselm’s birthday? Halo failed to understand the point of why this suddenly had turn into an issue; especially since Gabriel had not yet said anything. Halo’s unease was because she was rather careful around her uncle, especially now when she had climbed so high in the hierarchy. The Aquila had been the one to let her into the clan and revealed Vitium’s failure. He had revealed the lies and removed the ground under the coppery hybrid’s feet. She was scared of him. The rest of the party however had not seemed to freeze and drop whatever was in their hands when the Aquila had made his appearance. Perhaps she had missed something subtle, because right now she did not understand the Caelum’s action.
People went to gather closer to Gabriel or follow after Anselm to soothe the situation. Halo drifted after the rest in a slow pace, starting to loathe her dress, starting to wonder why the hell she had put it on. She had thought this was more of a Halloween party though, and not a birthday party. Was it a custom to celebrate a member’s year here? Her first birth day had come and gone and neither she nor anyone else had done anything about it. The girl decided to stay close to Hybrid and Gabriel and decided to watch the minor drama from there. She looked over to her co-hydra and actually wondered what Hybrid was like. They had never interacted much at all, but he had been holding his rank for quite a while. Perhaps she could find a trainer in him, perhaps not.
