Halo recognized disappointment in her heart when the Aquila decided to join the party rather to dissolve it. Although she kind of wanted to let go and just try to join the party, she knew she would not be able to. She could not let go unless she knew the individuals well. She could have relaxed with Kaena, but that was basically it. This realization made the young hybrid sad. After so many months she was still an outcast, though this definitely had to be her own choice. Odd; she had planned an entirely different status for herself when she first came here. Perhaps outer beauty was not all. Halo knew she was lovely, but the loveliness was merely skin deep. She did not dare to dive further into her self and risk witnessing the ugliness she knew hid within. When Gabe started dressing up, Halo started to float closer to Kaena, desperate to cling to a familiar face while at the same time hoping that the puppy would increase its distance. It was odd; she did not have anything against Mason, but she did not want to have to interact with him. She wondered why she felt this way. It was strange how most of her clan could be such strangers. It was not fair.

Hybrid was useless and her lips had curled downward, burdened with dislike, when her sharp orbs had caught his silent sneer. What the fuck had she done that deserved that? She made sure to turn her back at him, determined to fully ignore her co-hydra if he felt the need to be rude even before she had done anything. She followed the party and watched the Aquila drink deep from a bottle and tossed it into the pile of wood before finding cigarettes and setting the stuff on fire. The girl backed away a few steps at the explosion of light and the first waves of warmth from the living flame. She turned slightly away and gazed up at the now empty house. She thought she’d rather spend the rest of the evening alone wallowing in self pity because she could not get what she wanted. She had no desire to inhale another scented alcohol molecule. It was not her style at all. Halo was the first member to leave the party, skulking into the shadows without intending to return. A lonely rodent eventually followed at her heels and she allowed it to keep her company as she walked aimlessly around in Inferni until the rays of sun started to caress the clan's soil.
