In your eyes, forsaken me

The foolish dreamer lived up to her name as her hand flew after him. The male’s jaws sawed through skin, flesh and bone. His jaws finally connected and he jerked his head opposite the direction of the gray woman’s claws. The piece of fur and flesh suddenly gave in and he heard the lovely sound of the last connecting flesh and muscles being ripped. Blood cling to his face and he felt his own, unshed blood bubble in his veins. His cruel gaze moved to Anu now, for she had tried to fight back. He had wanted Haki’s tail and she had tried to keep him from it. Did she not see that Coli belonged to him? It was his blood running beneath her skin and it was his right to do whatever he pleased with her.

His jaws opened – letting go of the severed piece of Coli’s tail. He was troubled. There were so many options to choose from. As Haku’s sickness raged through him, devouring him slowly from the inside, he found that he paid less and less attention to possible consequences. The twisted Lilium had always been fond of the moment – the presence, and this was now. Blood and fear dancing heavily through the air as the most seductive perfume, Haku felt a spike of dead emotion; contentment; life. Was it life he so desperately wanted to feel? Perhaps he was dead. Perhaps this was the only way to feel free and alive. The Dahlian followed the pair a few steps before he stopped dead in his track, watching their red forms with genuine satisfaction.

They believed they were getting away, but mortals were so deluded. They did not understand that they were running from their own salvation. They always wanted to make things so much harder for themselves. Only misery awaited them wherever they would go. Haku did not forget. Haku did not tire. He would continue to make Coli’s life more miserable than she could imagine – even now. ”I’ll take good care of your brothers, Coli, don’t you worry!” the male called out after the pathetic creatures. His words would probably seem odd to Anu, but the words had not been meant for the Dreamer. Coli would understand the message. No one would know how Coli came to lose part of her tail. He had barely touched her, and the heavy stench of blood had already overpowered whatever scent was left of him on her form.

The large secui turned and retrieved his newest treasure. He would soon have to admit himself to be a collector. This would be his fourth tail piece. He wanted more. His impossibly blue gaze reached up towards the heavy clouds that were coming to erase blood and every other trace of the crime scene. He had gotten away with a crime again.
