Jontae had been staying with the dappled blind girl. It had taken her a few days to finally figure out what was wrong with the lady but when she had it didn't really matter. Ruri was just as mobile as any of the other adults in the pack. Often Firefly would appear to and make things more interesting. Jontae liked her fierce attitude and way with words but Ruri was just as grounded and gentle as Firefly was flighty and spirited. The small princess wasn't sure which was her favorite but they made the fact that her mother was still missing a bit easier to get along with.
The small chocolate walnut hued mutt had scurried out of the house that morning when Ruri was still asleep and had been playing about on the porch, watching the rain alternating between flurries and back to the freezing cold water that pattered down upon the world. She didn't like the chill of the wind that danced over the ocean and blew at their door but she wasn't stupid enough to think she could change the way the winds blew, but she was bored and she didn't know if she really wanted to leave the porch to find something to keep her entertained.
