Might we be able to date this on the 24th of October? That way Ruri won't be injured and she can play with Jontae ^_^. My post is horrid, but I can change it if you do not wish to pre-date it...or whatever
A yawn escaped the mouth of the ivory and merle female as she slowly rose from her slumber. Life had been interesting lately, both in good and bad ways. Svara Thames was dead, and Ruri often found herself shedding tears of grief for the gruff healer. Ruri hadn't even known that the woman had returned before finding out that she had killed herself. The border collie's innocent mind could not grasp what would make someone want to kill themself, but she could only imagine that immense grief had something to do with it. On a happier note, Jac's daughter, Jontae had been dropped off by Seraphine one of the old crew members and now Ruri and Firefly were sharing the responsibility of caring for the small fuzz ball. Firefly did most of the difficult stuff, like providing food for the pup, but Ruri somehow managed to play with the little creature. Surprisingly, wrestling with a pup wasn't that hard for a blind girl. As long as the pup kept trying to jump all over her, Ruri's acute sense of touch could always tell exactly where she was.
Now that she was awake, it was time to find the little rascal. No doubt she was somewhere nearby trying to cause some sort of mischief. Ruri had to make sure she kept her clothes and good blankets hidden well out of Jontae's reach when she wasn't using them otherwise the easily bored pup might attempt to destroy them for fun. "Jontae! Come inside sweetheart. It's too cold and wet outside to be playing out there." she called, immediately pinpointing the pups location through the fact that the front door was open and Jontae's distinct scent wafted in with each gust of the chilly, moist wind. Ruri was already shifted into her lupus form, having slept in it the night before. This form seemed best for when it came to caring for the pup, although Ruri was not sure why.
