set in shattered coast. changed my mind about post-dating it so it'll just be set 11/5 if that's fine XD. 341 words.

Tokyo had left pack territory for the first time in a while. She was still sore, but she had deliberately decided not to think at all about her recent encounter with Haku. It probably had something to do with why she felt motivated to get away for the moment. Last time she had left she had ran into coyote territory, so this time she pushed south a little into Shattered Coast. She was very careful to travel directly south; she didn't want any incidental wandering too close to Crimson Dreams. That would suck so majorly, she really had no patience to deal with Savina today. Or with any of the repercussions that might occur if word got back to a leader, maybe Haku, that she violated her prohibition.. A shudder ran over here.

She didn't even feel.. as snarky as usual, as righteous as usual. It was a strange sort of mood, and she didn't like it. The things that came so easily just felt like a lot of work. She didn't really know what personality to settle on. She drew masks over herself so frequently, slipped into character with less than a twitch of a muscle, that it was so.. so hard to be alone, as much as she had been lately. When she was alone she had no point for her counterpoint; no personality to please or suck-up to or adapt to. How could Princess have done this to her? At least when her daughter was around, she had the role of mother to play. She had Responsibility and Duty. But her days just felt empty. It was strange, lazing around all day used to be enough to make her quite happy. What had changed about her to crave something more, some sort of.. thing to do? It was crazy. Idleness was the ultimate goal, wasn't it? Ugh. Was it pack-life that had changed her, that had instilled in her this restlessness? Whatever the hell it was, she was incredibly sure that she did not like it, not one bit.
