Geneva had woken up with a bit of a headache from her activities the evening before. She had wandered into Halifax to have some time away from Phoenix Valley, but when the sun rose again over the pack lands, the subleader was back in the saddle. The wayfaring ways of yesterday forgotten, she had risen with renewed purpose and applied herself to her duties with vigor. Despite her headache, she had plenty of energy. The light was not bright enough to hurt her eyes, as it was partly cloudy.

The afternoon proved to be mostly uneventful. She had found a pair of cattle who had meandered away from the barn and had begun grazing. After ushering them back to where they belonged. It had taken a bit more effort, because she had remained in her four-legged form, but she did not mind the challenge. Opposable thumbs were definitely useful tools, but there was something oddly gratifying about accomplishing a task with creative thinking and alternative methods.

Now she paced slowly across the borders. She had no sense of smell at her disposal, and so she relied very much on visual markings and her own memory. But she knew the borders of the pack lands like she knew her own name, and so it was not a hard task. And today, as she sometimes did, she happened upon a stranger. She noted his dark coat, gender, and size before she made herself known, approaching him with ease. She was comfortable here, and he seemed to just be looking around. The slight wolfess lifted her light gray muzzle, lime green eyes playing on his face before she spoke softly. "Good afternoon, stranger. Is there something you are looking for?"
