OOC: Sorry for the late reply!

In her mind, the rotten pile of wood was something brilliant, something awe-inspiring. White sails billowed in an ocean zephyr, a black skull-and-crossbones flag hoisted high in pride warning, that the black demons to ride such a vessel were indeed aboard. Her imagination ran wild with such thoughts, painting what looked to be no more than a cargo ship mentally to be a grandeur of pirate sea-fleets. The little girls excitement grew as Gabe responded to it, her emerald eyes wide, fluffy tail a blur against hind legs.

" Gabe? What... What are you doing?"

She followed the boy up to the boat, but remained grounded as he leaped with agile bounds up the stack of crates. Shifting her weight nervously, Alaine cast a hasty glance over her shoulders, let a soft sound of worry spill forth from her throat.

" ... Gabe?"

The boy turned back to look at her and barked a quick excited sentence, before hopping over the rim of the boat and disappearing from view. Shocked, Alaine found herself suddenly alone on the shore. She couldn't hear her partner, and, reluctant to follow him, paced up and back. Suddenly, a gull squawked loudly and shrilly behind her. With a yelp, Alaine bounded up the pile of boxes, and dashed onto the pirate ship after her new companion.

" Wait for me!"

The urgent whisper broke the silent aboard the sea vessel, it's two new occupants hopefully the only ones on board. Her claws clicking on the rotting wood, Alaine trotted the way she thought her fellow had gone, nose high in the air and ears flicked up to catch the sounds of any angry pirates that might be approaching.

Speak think walk!
