Table by James.

Trust Jefferson to get right to the heart of the issue, especially using his razor sharp tongue. Geneva winced a bit at his crass use of language. She found the use of such language distasteful, and so she did not use foul language liberally. Funnily enough, it was usually Jefferson who loosened her tongue and tempted her to use single-syllable four-letter words the most. She didn't judge him for it; however, it wasn't her favorite thing in the world to hear.

Her eyes turned from the Patriarch to the russet colored Zynex, although she did not say anything to negate his words. These were indeed his lands, and she would not undermine his authority in front of a stranger. She trusted him implicitly, and despite his colorful use of language, she agreed with him. He had laid out the bare bones of the matter for Zynex, and now it was up to her to choose what she wanted to do.

She shrugged her shoulders a bit and smiled a bit ruefully at Zynex. It really was her decision. She could at least rest for a while, and then decide what to do in the morning. Despite the Patriarch's acerbic tone, he had not retracted the invitation for Zynex to stay the night, at least to get her bearings.
