Of all the creatures from her past, she never expected to see Sabin. He had not been as sadistic as Sivaro, but he played more games than the elder. He tortured her mind when he was around (which wasn't often, but it was often enough) and she began to picture Sivaro in front of her. It was a mix of the two, now with a mental and physical torture all in one. If the two had been the same, her life would have been hell and perhaps over by now. The both of them around at the same time had been enough stress and just when she thought things would get better, everything got worse. Kaena had seemed fine until the previous morning, Sabin's appearance in front of her... she cringed at the thought and struggled to do anything but stand there awkwardly.

Her golden eyes only caught a glimpse of his face and she looked away, staring at his feet because she could not look at his face. She could not find his expression and, naturally, had to look away. His voice struck out at her and she cringed, her eyes closed and her hands clenched into balled up fists. She did not respond and she didn't have much time to begin with, because soon he was upon her. Her body jerked in reflex and she stepped back but the touch of his hand on her face made her turn slightly. She could not deny him fully, she feared what he would do regardless of the fact she had a new owner. He was strong and could force her to do what he wanted and it was part of the reason she did not run. He would win, every time, because he was stronger.

And what would Kaena do? It was not something she could predict, since she changed every time she was around the elderly woman. She was sure it would be different when she came home form this morning but nothing she could settle on. What if she came home to Sabin here and Vieira not doing her work? What would they talk about? Torture plans? Vieira didn't believe Kaena would protect the slave, not after her recent torture, and just want more ways to toy with young woman.

The touch of her face changed and she felt his hot breath on her ear, both of them angling backward, pointing behind her as he spoke. She didn't have an answer for this question here because she didn't want to answer. She didn't want to speak, she didn't want him to be here! Vieira stiffened and felt the brush of the wall against one of her shoulders, her golden eyes focusing on the wall around her. A question danced upon her lips but it never found the courage to escape, his reason for being here would remain untouched should he find out, and she worried he would be upset about his father's death and somehow pin it upon her, demanding some sort of revenge that she had murdered the man.
