Vieira did not necessarily like the heads but they were not bad. She took what she got most of the time and if it was all Astaroth left her, she would eat the entire head because she would be hungry. Kaena moved toward the pan with the knife of her father and she tensed, but watched as she cut the filet almost in half. The older woman took the bigger half and as a smile lingered on her lips, Vieira set the fish head back down on the pan and too the side and picked up the fish that had been cut for her. The gesture was something she had not expected but it was more than welcome. An emotion filled up inside her at the woman's kindness, something she had rarely (if ever) seen from those who controlled her before. She could not really recognize the emotion she felt but she felt relaxed and her level of worry was decreased as she ate and began to feel a warmth in her belly from a full meal.
