It was not long before Xeris had drank her fill of the stream water and decided to head back home. She hadn't strayed too far from the cabin, so it wouldn't take her long to get there. The white wolfess took her time, enjoying the atmosphere of the quickly-ending autumn around her. She could feel a chill throughout her body, which made her eager to get back to the warmth of her makeshift home.
After a few minutes the cabin itself came into view. Xeris was a little surprised to see someone in the door. At first, she thought it was Pendzez, but as she came closer she realized it was Pontiac. Xeris had seen this white wolfess once or twice before, but it had been a while since then. Approaching the doorway, Xeris spoke up. "Hello, Pontiac." With a smile, she continued, "Would you like to come in for a little while?"
