He had heard the stories, interpreted the rumours, but that did not mean he fully understood the situation. Andrezej was no longer in Inferni, and apparently, it had been with good reason. From what he had heard, Andrezej had not only threatened one of the puppies, but also attacked his brother. Hybrid had felt a growing sense of anger the moment he had heard that, bristling at the mention of betrayal within the ranks of his own clan. Though it was not his clan, nor did he care to claim it as his own, he still felt his lip curl in a snarl whenever he heard of someone turning their backs on Inferni.

He was weak. Hybrid had wondered if the child would ever be ready to serve Inferni as one of their dedicated soldiers, but it seemed like it would never happen. He was too foolish to keep his teeth and claws in check, his words merely thoughts, and had done the unthinkable. Although Hybrid wished Inferni could be a militaristic faction of coyotes, ready to go to battle in a moments notice, he knew it was not possible. It was only wishful thinking, and thinking that Andrezej would be able to survive among them. It was too much. He had expected too much of a child.

Hybrid trotted farther along the coast, making his way farther and father South past the Swamp Sosye. He had since passed the murky delta and was now venturing farther into the brush and small, lightly forested area to the south. Though he had not seen Andrezej in days, he did not think the child would be foolish enough to remain close to Inferni. He would find him, soon, and he would pay for betraying the clan.
