Contentment brushed through him as it was revealed that Svara Thames was dead. Rumours had suggested this in advance, and he decided to finally believe. Was it truly suicide that had taken her pathetic soul away from the earth? Haku could no longer be surprised, for he knew that Svara had never truly been worthy. Yet he had not expected her weakness to be dominant enough in order to flee from life in such a way. Life was granted for a reason. Too many failed to see the reason with it, but he knew that he would die with his own blood sweeping through his fur like the touch of a lover’s, with the dire difference that it would whisper of death. He did not fear the moment. He would die as he lived.

The child did not offer him any useful information beyond that. It seemed she belonged to Cour de Miracles, and beyond that he could not be bothered. She was useless, for her mother was dead. That made her the average, worthless child to him, and he turned away as the girl flashed a sadistic grin that reminded him quite of her loser of a mother. Yes, perhaps he actually was disappointed in how deep Svara Thames had let herself sink. However, things like these should not be dwelled on when there was nothing to be done. He only regretted that he had not properly killed her the night he had ruined her body.

Cold blue was glued to the Dahlian woman. He expected obedience. ”Deal with her as you please, but if she’s anything like her rude, swearing mother then I better not see her again, or something very bad will happen.” The male spoke the truth: it was an obvious threat. He would sever the black child’s flesh from her bones. Alexey would be the one to decide what to do with the puppy, but Haku would no longer refrain from punishing true insolence. Done with them both, the male’s feet started to wander again, continuing along the borders and away from the child and the woman.
