Vieira opened her jaws to speak when Kaena responded but she felt out of place all of a sudden, as if she could not prove what she meant. The slave did not feel like she could make the woman happy and perhaps it was what caused her to appear as such. If Kaena was not happy, then she saw the fault but when she was, she was less likely to see Vieira's misery as her former owners had done. It would be no different and she could not be convinced out of it. Kaena stepped away from her and onto her bed and Vieira remained in place and stood back, trying to decide how to decode the words given. They were no direct orders, implications that were tricky, and she sighed to herself over what to do.

It gave her too much freedom to roam and decide what she should do.

Staying in the cave and waiting and going out and hunting both weight similar pros and cons. If she left, Kaena could become upset without directly telling Vieira to go but if she stayed and the woman woke up hungry, then there would be something else waiting for her. Her golden eyes dropped to the ground and decided to take a chance to find something to eat. That way, at least, she could make it better by having food. Something to coat the lining of the problem. Staying in, Vieira would remain empty handed and she supposed the lesser of two evils won the battle and she made her way to the coast in the cold wind and rain.
