Vieira did not try and help Gabriel. It did not cross her mind to try and find a scent on her own. She knew how, it was common sense, but not hunting for the first three years of your life did not give you the first response of trying to catch anything. Her eyes looked around only to get a good idea of the territory. After over a month, she still was not all that accustomed to the territory as a whole. If Gabriel left her standing alone, it would take her time to figure out how to get back to her cave. Vieira was quick, however, and made sure to keep up as he moved, looking for prey for them to find.

When Gabriel found the scent, the slave eventually picked up on the scent and realized they were on the trail. Her eyes lay on the doe as the pair came to a stop. Vieira stood a few feet behind the male, looking at their attempt of prey and she twisted her lips in distress. He gave orders of how he wanted to do things, how he imagined they were going to bring the animal down. Her paws awkwardly danced in place and she took a long breath. Her jaws parted to object but she was silenced when the male turned and walked away.

She struggled with the movement but jerked herself out of place and moved to follow behind him, doubt radiating off her form.
