Vieira's ears perked upon her head, standing erect as he began to speak and instruct her of her duties for the hunt. They were not entirely difficult. She had to go and chase the animal toward Gabriel. He did not tell her to attack and bring it down and she felt a wave of relief, perhaps a window that would get her out of trouble should she mess up the the hunt as a whole. She did not want to disappoint the man, indirectly disappointing her owner. Before she moved, she glanced toward Gabriel and then the doe and finally the direction she was supposed to go off in.

She felt a pressure on her shoulders she did not before and worried she would mess up somehow. How would she know when she make the first move? Her eyes closed and she jerked her legs into motion. Her paws lightly hit the ground, an advantage of her tiny form, and she was carefully moving in the direction of her station. Her eyes narrowed slightly, turning back to look at the leader one final time before she found her position. Vieira's feet became restless as she stood there, staring hard at the doe. In her three months of travel, Vieira never once considered going after something so large. Rabbit, mice, and anything she could scavenge or get from another was all she survived on.

Her golden eyes focused on the doe, lowering herself and trying not to look awkward. She did not bother to look for Gabriel to see if he was in position and instead jumped forward and ran as fast as her thin legs could carry her. As she spooked the animal, she lacked the knowledge of what to do and just ran until something happened and Gabriel took over.
