gah, sorry for slow X_X. 368 words

Another dark female stranger. Then Addison, who Tokyo actually sort of missed. Once King grew up a bit more and she had enough free time to care for her appearance, she'd have to invite Addy back home to her den. The intermittent companionship had been pleasant. Emwe, who seemed to bashfully avoid glancing at her. Silly kid. A smile twitched the edge of Tokyo's mouth, despite the severity of what they were meeting about. A howl announced the absence of yet another stranger, but the approach of two puppies. Strange.

Tokyo didn't know there were other puppies around the pack these days, now that Haku's two boys were grown up and those brats Cercelee had had disappeared. She cared more about puppies now, not out of any direct concern, but out of simple curiosity. Any kids the pack had would be her son's peers. Of course, he was far superior to any of them, but friends were healthy. Strangers strangers strangers. When had Dahlia become a pack full of strangers? Whatever, it didn't matter. Everyone was new, everyone was below her, everyone had to report to her. That was pretty neat.

When everyone around seemed to be accounted for, Haku began to speak. It was nothing terribly surprising. War. Mew, injured. That was a shame - she had been pleasant enough company, and Tokyo and her shared common memories of a childhood in an area that not many around had grown up in. Cercelee was gone, and that was pretty awesome. Haku not just leader.. But the only one contending for the spot. Her son was secure in his position as a Dahlian prince. Killing coyotes. Cool. Of course, Tokyo wasn't going to be participating, but she sure hoped Dahlia won. It wasn't like she ever really left the packlands all that much, she wouldn't really be in any danger. She was glad to be kept up-to-date with things like this, but was now rapidly boring of the situation. Yes, yes, death the the coyote clan.. She felt no need to verbalize the thought that seemed to be on everyone's lips. Instead, she toyed with King's fur, petting the child on her lap and merely nodding to express understanding.
