The timber wolf flicked his red ears and shifted his weight, anxious to move. There was going to be something for them to do, and gosh darn it he needed to see what the rest of the territory looked like. Letting his tongue loll out of his mouth, the wolf found there was no need for any further formality. They were going to need to find shelter and it wasn’t going to be any fun if they were all pissed off and grumpy around each other. Besides, as Kai saw it, they were now friends and by his definition that meant he needed to try and keep the mood light. They were fighting a war as it stood, so it was stupid for their to be fighting in the ranks. Haku was the boss, and anyone above them had the right to order them around. In Kai’s mind, that was all that mattered—the strong would lead and those below them would follow.
Sic’s voice brought a dark glimmer into Kai’s blue eyes, and he spoke with another short laugh. “Yeah, maybe.” He could picture it now—big bad Sic falling out of the sky like a bird with a broken wing. The ideas was not only ridiculous, but it was hilarious. Amused by the idea, he laughed again, and shook his head. With the older man following, Kai began moving towards where the mass of scents told him to do. “Oh yeah, I didn’t sleep that well either." They probably all sleep in the same area, given by how many of the scents were female and piled atop one another. Probably Haku kept the women together to be safe, it seemed like something that would be smart given they were at war and all. “Hey where are you from, Sic? S’not from around here, huh? You don’t seem like it.”
