Being out here in the city on his own and without Drogon was probably not the best idea considering the information that had come to light at the pack meeting yesterday, but he had been needing to make a trip here and it was better to do it now before things got worse. This was the first winter he had spent in his house and while his supply of blankets had suited him find for the warmer months he was finding the stores insufficient for the temperatures now. He could also use a few more candles to help illuminate his dwelling when the sun dipped below the horizon. Lately he had been doing a lot of reading and with the majority of his days spent out checking the borders of the lands it was at night that he was able to sit and relax and one couldn't exactly read without light. Perhaps he could have found some of what was needed in the town that Cour des Miracles encompassed but he would prefer to go where he knew he could find what he needed instead of wasting time looking in someplace where the things he required might not be available.

Thoughts of the man he had found in the rain those months ago hadn't crossed his mind much recently. After Locke's disappearance he had worried after the male, but he knew that there was nothing he could do to save the man from the private hell that had befallen him. What person in their right mind would not be inconsolable after such devastating losses? There were few things Haven hated worse than feeling helpless to aid someone that clearly needed it and that was how he had felt with the mottled man. That didn't mean he wouldn't have continued to try and help, but he had been at a loss of what to do and all he could do now was hope that wherever Locke was, he was finding some kind of solace or comfort.

Haven heard some movement up ahead around the next corner and curious he hurried forward to see what it was. What he saw both shocked and saddened him. It was that very same wolf and just by looking at him he knew that Locke was drunk and miserable. It was like looking a mirror of what Haven had been once and it broke his heart to see anyone else subjecting themselves to such a horrid existence. Ears laid back against his head the Knight called out to the lost man. "Locke?" If he hadn't been able to help him before, would now be any different? He didn't know, but he had to try.
