I fail. Terribly sorry about the delay, love. D: Moving sucks.

Only the bubbling steam dared interrupt the quasi-totality of this self-inflicted quietude. Dusk was closing in on them, and would soon engulf the entirety of their surroundings into a giant hole of oblivion. This male’s identity and purpose were unknown, and yet the sense of familiarity radiating from his very being was enough to soothe whatever suspicions she had. Generally, judgement was passed within the first minute of an encounter, but such wasn’t the case this time. While nothing about him appeared strikingly impressive thus far, his eyes burned with the color of glowing embers; an indication of the raging fire lying dormant within his soul. And while one could learn many things by simply looking at another person, Lillith was willing to go one step further by initiating a conversation with the strange male.

“You’re not from around here.” Although if should have been meant as an inquiry, the answer was obvious. Souls was home to many strange creatures of different beliefs and values, but none as uniquely refreshing as this male. His seemingly calm nature, further accentuated by his actions, did not fail to pique the madwoman’s interest. As if to mirror the same nonchalance, no matter how uncharacteristic of her, Lillith altered her adversarial posture to one of collaboration. She did not sit nor take a step forward. Au contraire, she merely stood there and awaited enlightenment. “Why are you here?” Ironically, this was the same question Gabriel had asked her upon their very first encounter.
