Let's see how far we've come!

Firefly ignored the glance from Jacquez but was glad that he didn't try and make her leave the stretch of beach. She was rather curious about these strangers on the shore and she wanted to know more. She smiled slightly when the woman acknowledged her and then seemed to try and get her brother to agree that they were where they wanted to be. She glanced from one to the other with one brow quirked as she wondered just how easily excited these two seemed to get. She couldn't help the slight chuckle of amusement that escaped as the two seemed to be figuring everything out. She could tell already that the boy wasn't as outspoken and chatty as the girl, at least he hadn't become yet but she hadn't really given them a chance. She hoped that they both didn't set the pack on end if they seemed to think they belonged her.

Her thoughts were interrupted when the female began some seemingly stage of hero worship towards Jacquez. She gave a rumble of disapproval when the girl reached out to touch him, not even realizing that she did before the girl started to babble on. She thought for a moment she must have been hearing things before the girl went on to explain herself. Firefly couldn't help but laugh as she glanced from Jacquez to the two younger figures before them. She shook her head and finished the slight distance between Jacquez and herself as the laughter continued. There really had to be some perfectly good explanation for this but she knew she probably wasn't going to believe it if she did hear it.

Firefly looked back to the girl and said with disbelief. "Him, hero? I'm sorry girlie but I think you've been out to sea a little too long." She placed her hands on her hips, ignoring the protest of her newly stretched scars as she slightly tilted her head to study Jacquez. "Hero.. grand leader. Jacquez.." A smirk appeared on her lips as she wondered just what else the girl was going to spew forth. She gave Jac a pleasant grin as she stated to the girl. "You've got a lot of explaining to do if you can prove this. Barely any of his crew made it to land, this fine sailor's ship sank before reaching port." She was beginning to wonder if Jacquez perhaps took his name from some old silly storybook as she waited for an answer.
