Set for tomorrow? :3

It was a beautiful morning. Sonja was always an early riser and it was nothing that ever changed. She did not mind. It gave her a quick start on the day but this day, Sonja found herself not wanting to get out of bed. She knew there was work still left to do on the house but she did not mind putting it off. She wondered if she could convince Raskolnikov to take the day off. They could spend time together with one another, getting to know the house and village and other surrounding territories as a couple. As she lay there, one of her arms draped over his chest and a nestle of blankets around their legs, she watched the sun pour in over his face. It was sunny already this morning and not a rain cloud in sight. It was a nice feeling to being able to walk outside and not find yourself soaking wet from rain.

The man slept a little longer and Sonja did not feel like waiting. She hated to wake him and frowned, looking over to the exit of the bedroom before deciding to get a head start. She did not necessarily want to clean or do repairs but she had something else in mind. On the way into the Amish village, there had been a field of dead and withering sunflowers. She imagined what it looked like in the spring and summer time, blossoming brightly as their lives depended on it. The woman loved sunflowers, there had been a similar meadow where she was from in Italy that she spent a good portion of her childhood. That was long gone and it was only luck that there was a field of the very same flowers at her disposal.

The woman carried the empty satchel over her shoulder, emerging from the woods that separated the village from the fields. The flowers were lightly dusted with a fresh blanket of snow that occurred over night. They were gray and brown in color, wilted with the changing of the seasons. Soon, they would fall into the earth and the new process would begin when it started to get warmer. She stood, her head above the flowers (they had already started to fall) and she used both hands to pick through the seeds. Some were rotted and missing but she managed to get about ten or fifteen still good seeds per bud and with each pick, she placed them in the bag. She would roast them later for her and her mate to pick at and it would be a nice idle treat to have over time when they had nothing else to do or just wanted to cure a little boredom.
