Since Haku and his impressive strength did not make an appearance, Tokyo merely made this a game of numbers, counting each that approached. They had: Kaena (the old one), a smelly one, a pretty one with a blade, one that was little more than a puppy, and some bland looking male. That was five. And Dahlia had a small-ish male, a large black male, annnd another male. All of them strangers, what the hell. Where were the pack-mates she knew? What had happened to everyone? Tokyo wasn't fond of having to rely on strangers, but once she thought about it she realized it was probably for the best. After all, with this many coyotes some of these males would probably be injured. One or two might even die. Better it be strangers than people she knew and cared about. And if they lived, so much the more would they have earned her affection.

Oh, and technically if you counted Tokyo and King, it was five versus five. But that was ridiculous. Tokyo didn't fight. She hadn't even deigned to get her paws bloody in the beating of Firefly, and there was little to no chance of harm then. Now, these coyotes were out for blood, and if she let them near her even to try to hurt them they'd likely end up tasting hers. And besides, not even considering her own safety, she wasn't really.. any good at it.. When others arrived, she slunk backwards as much as she could, putting others between her and danger. It's not like anyone was going to complain about it. It was basically the law that they had to protect her. A beautiful woman, a lover of the leader, carrying his poor infant child, protecting his one competent heir? Yeah, they had to put their lives on the line for her. Otherwise they might as well just leave Dahlia, because someone or another would surely kick them out for insubordination or something.

Tokyo didn't know if anyone else was arriving, but either way she preferred to wait rather than be the one to light the fuse of this situation. Besides, maybe maybe maybe Haku would come. To protect his son. And with him here.. Well, if Haku was here none of these other males would have to die. No one would have to die. He'd protect them all, and destroy the enemy, turning their ugly stupid bodies to dust. She didn't respond to a thing that Kaena had said. There were too many here, now. Too many that wouldn't necessarily sit still for her taunts. She hadn't exactly learned caution from her encounter with Corvus, the scars of which she still felt pulling her shoulder muscles unusually taught when she shifted King in her arms. But she had learned when it was stupid to push on. When it was suicidal to spit another insult. And that, would be now. So she kept her pearly white teeth neatly hidden behind a scowl. Her son's growling was more than enough to voice her displeasure as well.
