Haven sat smoothly atop Drogon as the pair made their daily rounds of the borders. Jade eyes looked around with scrutiny, looking for the slightest sign that something was wrong or out of place. They may not have been involved directly in the war, but he knew that of all the packs they were the one that stood the largest chance of facing hostility from Dahlia de Mai. They already had. Perhaps it had been foolhardy of Firefly to go where she had, but that didn't excuse the deplorable actions of the Dahlians. Attacking a pregnant woman was one of the lowest things a person could do and that male had been ripping into her mercilessly while the woman stood there and watched approvingly with her own pup no less. The mere thought of the sight that had met his eyes made his hackles raise and he gripped the reins far tighter than was necessary. Someday, he would revenge the lost lives of Firefly's pups on those two heathens. He had promised that to her and to himself. Monster like that didn't deserve keep living. In his mind, they were little better than Haku himself.

The circuit completed, he turned Drogon around to head back the other way and make towards the stables and home. Their pace while making the first round had been slow, but now he pressed his heels into the stallions side, urging his hooves to move faster. He wanted to get home soon and make sure everything was alright with Princess. Even though he knew he had to, he didn't like leaving her on her own while she was still so new to the pack. Of course she was safe as long as she stayed inside the borders, but he did worry about her running into Jac. The two would butt heads, he had no doubt. He also had no doubt that Jac would try to make a move if he didn't know that she was with him and that made a possessive streak run through the Aatte.

As he passed Lunenburg though, he paused, looking into the town. Haven was still being tugged towards home, but his sense of duty flared up and he felt the need to go and check in with Vigilante. The man was now the Constable and he had a much more level head than their King possessed, especially when it came to the conflict with Dahlia. If he didn't know about all that had happened between their two packs thus far, he needed to be informed. With some resignation he turned Drogon in the direction of the dog mix's home and soon arrived at the door of his house. Dismounting, Haven walked up and knocked on the door, stepping back then and hoping that he had caught the Constable at home.

For the time being, Vigilante was at home. It was more common for him to be out and about doing everything he could to make sure that the pack remained as safe as it had for so long, but for now, he was home and content to be there. It was nice to sit peacefully on the couch, a fire blazing in the fireplace. Ayita was out, and so was Zafier, and it was more than likely that Leroy had Kable and Amaranth with him. Kable seemed to be spending more and more time with his father, and the Constable hoped that it was not because of him. He understood that the boy probaby wanted time with his father, but it was important for him to be close to his mother, as well. Vigilante hoped that this would not be a problem for Ayita and her son. He knew that he could not ask to be close to the two pups, though he would like it if it were the case. He was not their father and he knew that they might not be pleased to be close to him. Still, he hoped it would not be a problem for his mate. Ayita didn't need that.

The knock on the door drew him from his spot on the couch and he rose obligingly, not in the least bit unhappy to have company. It was not very common for there to be a knock on his door, as far as he knew, though he was often out so he supposed he would not know. Opening the door, he took in the sight of Haven, surprised to see the knight on his doorstep. "Haven, what a pleasant surprise. How have you been? Please, come in," he added, holding the door open for him to enter. "To what do I owe this pleasure?" It had been quite some time since he had last seen the orange man and he was hoping that they might be able to catch up. He had liked the Knight quite a bit when they had first met, and it was quite a big shame that so much time had passed since their initial conversation.

If he had spent much time on the doorstep then it was doubtless his mind would have wondered to the many thoughts that filled and plagued it. The best being Princess' face and the worst the site of Firefly, battered and bloody, terrified as her pups were aborted by her abused body. However, there was barely any time passed at all between his knock and the door opening to reveal the Constable. Despite the somewhat depressing nature of his visit, Haven couldn't help but let a smile curve his lips as the man greeted him. While he didn't know Vigilante well, he very much liked the male and was glad that he was a part of the pack's leadership. Jac was a good King, but the Knight felt much more secure with both Vigilante and Ruri anchoring him down and bringing firm reason to the royal court. "Oh you know, good things and not so good things. Such is life. I hope its been treating you decently." Nodding appreciatively he stepped inside the house, instantly feeling the warmth of it permeate his being. It wasn't an unpleasant day, but the heat from the fire was quite nice. He'd definitely have to build one when he got home.

Haven wished that he could just pass over the grim details he had come to share with Vigilante, brush them off and simply catch up with the man, but it was his duty to inform him of the dangers that faced the pack. There was no escaping the tidings he had brought. Grimacing slightly he turned back to face his superior, jade eyes darkened a few shades. "I wish I had better news, but unfortunately that isn't the case," he said with a heavy sigh. "Have you heard what happened to Firefly?" He wanted to think that Jack would have informed the Constable of the happenings, but he couldn't depend on it. That day had been the most rattled he had ever seen the King and it wouldn't have surprised him if he had avoided having to speak of it to anyone. Besides, Jacquez hadn't been there; Haven had. The Knight had seen with his own eyes the faces of the perpetrators and had exchanged blows with one. No doubt Vigi would need the information he had.
