Fingers touched the delicate leaves. They were so new, fragile and could easily be broken if she pressed too hard. The soil she packed around the thin stem was wet with rain water and clung to her finger tips and claws. Blue eyes danced over the newly transplanted flower, a warm feeling rising inside. Anu hoped that it would live, survive the little journey that she was about to set out on. The flower was only a bud, but with the right love and attention there was no bounds to its potential.

The Dreamer walked a well known path, worn by a million paws. It did not take half the morning for her Optime body to travel out of the pack lands and out into the free territories. The sky was dank and dark but her spirits were still as high and hopeful as they had been as she planted the small pot that she held in her travels. The tawny female watched the horizon, waiting for the fence line that would soon appear.

It had been some time since the female had traveled to the Aniwaya borders, and some time since she had seen her friend that lived there. Anu could not help but wonder if Hemming was still living with the tribe, and though it was not her intention to see only the soft and smiling male she wished to visit him still. The flower was light in her hand, the pot not even larger then her palm. It was the first of the season, the first of it's kind. The purple tinged bud waved softly in the breeze and at her walking motion.

The obvious border came into view, and Anu lingered only for a moment before entering. She came in peace, and the Dreaming leader did not fear being found.

That morning Nayati had gone to the place where some of the tribe's weapons were stored and inspected the hunting spears that lay there. A couple were still in good shape, but many were in disrepair and in need of some attention. No one else would likely do the task and so he gathered the worn implements in his arms and headed out into the open air. He wanted to find a nice, sunny spot to work in, but first he needed to stop by his hut and gather some supplies to help repair the spears. Quickly he gathered up his soft leather strips of varying widths and sizes as well as a stone that he could use to sharpen the points. Those in hand, he regathered the spears and walked out into the woods that would soon open up into a soft plain. While he walked a bright color caught his eye. Looking closer he found some cardinal feathers scattered about. He sadly didn't know what had happened to the bird, for there were many feathers, but he gathered them up and took them along.

Pale gaze found the perfect spot, a flat rock that could serve as a sort of workbench for him with greening, waving grass all around. Grinning he set his supplies down carefully, laying them out for inspection. As he did this, Onawa prowled up and without saying a word curled up in the soft grasses, her eyes closing. Nayati smiled at her before turning back to his work. Picking up a spear that had been cracked in half he also took a thick strip of hide and started to carefully realign the shaft and wrap it so it could once again be of use to the wolves of the tribe. The Utina found an immense pleasure in such tasks and let his mind relax and wander while his hands mended the weapon.

Blue eyes and a soft loving gaze glanced down at the small fragile thing that she held. The pot was clay, old but not too old. It had no cracks, and only small forgettable chips that Anu was happy to ignore. It was one of the best that she had, and for a gift Anu could not give away just any old dingy thing. It needed to be something that she was proud of. The Lt. General was quite proud of the alliance, well friendship, that she held with the Inferni leader but she wished to extend that peace the Crimson Dreams felt towards all of the surrounding packs. The flower held more meaning then just to give a bit of spring to the tribe lands she had set foot upon.

Her thoughts remained quiet, her mind content and holding no banes to gripe over. The calm wolfess simply roamed through the wooded lands with a soft smile and a matching gaze. She expected to come across another canine, but as the signs of life came to her over a soft rolling wind she was amused to find that what she had expected came quickly. The Dreamer turned to follow the scent, leaving the sanctity of the tree cover and entered the open landscape. Her tawny form slowed at the sight of the large, pale tribesmen, his adorning feathers bright against the silver of his fur. It was the feline that brought her to pause, but Anu was not inexperienced with the spirits that live among the living here and her falter was noticeable but lasted only a moment.

Respectful of the other creatures the blue eyed woman stopped at a distance, the plant cradled in her arms. "Hello." she spoke in greeting, and a small wave was given as she called to him.

The wrapping of the spear was slow, careful, and deliberate. His concentration was fully upon making the binding secure enough to keep the wood together. After having wrapped a good length of it he doubled the hide strip back on itself and tied a good knot once he came to the end of the length of it. Pale gaze roved over it, as if he were trying to see through the leather to decide whether or not his effort had indeed been successful. Placing the spear horizontally across both his hands he held it up to see if it bent at all where the break was. It appeared to hold well, but he knew that he wouldn't know if his repair job was good enough until he actually tested it. Of all the things that could happen to a spear, a break in the shaft of it was the most difficult to repair. Usually you just had to make a whole new one, but he had wanted to try. He would test the weapon later, for now he would move onto the others that needed repair.

His keen ears had picked up the movement coming out of the woods, but he hadn't paid it too much mind, assuming it to be one of his tribespeople walking around the territory. All of the outsiders he had met had been on the borders and he didn't expect to see any unaccompanied within actual AniWayan lands. The voice that called out and rang in his ears was unfamiliar, but that still didn't signal someone not belonging here though. There were still many of this satellite tribe he had yet to meet. Nayati turned his head to look at the tawny colored woman, a plant cradled in the crook of her arm. Black nose sniffed the air and found that she actually did not carry the tribe scent. A brow rose over one eye, wondering who she was to enter the lands so freely. "May I help you?" His tone didn't portray hostility, but there was a bit of a hard, questioning edge to it. There was a chance that she did have a reason to enter on her own, so he would wait to hear her before he made any judgment.

forgive the wait love?

The female traveled in peace and without ill intent and thus she walked with little restraint. Her eyes watched the male, his ears moving and yet he was very much absorbed by his task. The wolfess was not one for weapons, and inadvertently paused when he lifted it gaze down the spear’s length. She did not feel threatened by him, his form fairly relaxed in his seated position, but there was something about having pointed anything directed at her that made the Dreamer rethink her advancing position. But it was only a small interruption, and the blue-eyed woman walked closer.

He acknowledged her presence only after she spoke, telling her that she had indeed ventured a bit deep into the lands. The male had looked comfortable and at ease here and She hoped that she had not interrupted anything that could not be placed on hold for a small moment. She could stay or go as long or quickly as he wished. My name is Anu. She began, a soft smile on her face as she did so. He did not seem upset but curious about her presence here.

I am the second in command in the neighboring pack, Crimson Dreams. She wondered if he knew of them at all or had met another one of her Dreamers. By the look of him Anu figured he was deep in the ways of the tribe, the cat that sat among the grass told her that as well. If he had lived here long she could imagine he knew of them. I wished to bring a small favor from our lands. She spoke with a small grin and motioned to the potted flower.

His dark nose continued to sniff the air, scenting her and picking out the various subtleties. There was something in her scent that was vaguely familiar to him. He had smelled it before, but not upon this woman. As she introduced herself he had to store such questions away for a little while. Even if he were a little curious as to why she was here deep in AniWayan lands by herself, he was polite and courteous. Despite her reasoning for being here, he sensed no ill will from her and all of her mannerisms spoke of pleasantries and good spirits. "I am Nayati Utina. Onawa is my Spirit Guide, over there," he said motioning with his head in the puma's direction. Her large eyes watched the new woman with interest. She was not of their people, but she had an old soul and a love for the natural world around her that was sometimes rare to find in outsiders. Onawa had already decided she liked this woman.

As Anu stated her pack and her rank, Nayati's eyes grew a bit wide in surprise and he finally got to his feet. It wouldn't be proper to remain sitting when a neighboring pack's second was here on a visit. "It is an honor to meet you, Anu." It was now that he was able to place where the familiarity of her scent came from, or he thought at least. "I believe I have met one of your wolves, Ghita? We ran into each other out on a hunt, in the neutral lands. She was a nice woman, and a good hunter." Nayati usually preferred to do his hunts on his own, but the encounter with Ghita had gone better than he would have thought. He actually hoped to have the opportunity to hunt with her again. His pale blue gaze lighted back upon the plant she had brought and his lips upturned in a small smile. "How gracious of you, I'm sure we will treasure it. If you wish I could try and find our Kalona for you, or I can take it to him later." He didn't know if Anu were on some sort of schedule and didn't want to do anything to delay her.

Anu had come to know one of their members well, though it had been some time since she had sought out Hemming. He was a kind, animated wolf and brought the most childlike nature out of the Dreamer. They always found a game to play, or a new place the deserved exploring. As Anu watched this pale and feather-dressed male she found something quiet different, and though not to her knowledge, more like those that populated the tribe. He had a bit of what Anu had always found in Onus, some honor in a world that owned so little. But as quickly as she thought of the masked coyote he was lost to her memories, for Nayati spoke and drew her attention to the feline that lay in the grass at a small distance. Her blue eyes caught the cat's and Anu found a strength there, yet she did not find the same intensity that she might a feral beast that stalked its prey. She thought it could perhaps be understanding.

The male stood, and Anu took a step back as he praised their introduction. The Lt General never thought it anything fancy to be the second in command, though the title needed to be spoke at time so she could explain her purpose. She smiled, finding the male polite and pleasant to speak with. Ghita is a beloved and valued member. She responded, thinking of Savina's sister fondly. Of course the outgoing wolfess was loved for more then just her ability to provide for the pack but it was certainly appreciated by all.

The small potted plan sat in her arms like a child might, cradled with love and care. He was grateful, and such a thing made Anu glad that she had taken the time and far from foolish for believing that a small plant might keep terms between the packs on a positive level. She shook her head lightly at his offer, Oh no, if you could just bring it to him that would be fine. Or you could keep it yourself. She didn't care so much that the plant get to his leader as much as the message that was sent with it. It will need water, tomorrow. She said, extending the plant for him to take and giving him the responsibility of the little creature's life as well.

One thing that Nayati always wanted to be was a good representative of his people and his tribe. He had been as such back in the Great Tribe, but it seemed even more important here in these new lands. There weren't many original AniWayans here, only the Amaras and himself, and he wanted to make a good impression upon the wolves of these lands. Their tribe was looking for peace, and that was best achieved by making friends with those you shared the lands with. The man could sense the approval coming from Onawa and it intrigued him. She was never overly judgmental of others, but there were very few times he had felt her show such immediate like and approval towards someone. If nothing else had told him Anu was a good person, that certainly did. He was glad he had been correct about Ghita, and his smile grew. "I can understand why. She was the first outside of the tribe I had met in these lands. It was a good experience." It had given him much hope for the future of AniWaya here.

Plants were always a great gift, and it meant a lot for her to have brought one to them. Especially as the renewing time of the spring moons were upon them. It seemed apparent to him that she had a connection to the Earth that could easily coincide with how their people saw it. The Dreaming leader spoke, handing him the plant, and he took it reverently, looking down on the small green life. "I believe I will take it to Dawali. He is much better versed in the care of plants than I am," he said with a somewhat sheepish grin. Nayati's area of expertise was hunting, not caring for the tender lives of the plants that helped sustain their lives. "I will let him know that, when I bring it to him," he assured her. It wouldn't do to let her generous gift die in their care.

It struck him that he should send something back with her, a peace offering of their own. But what could he give? His pale gaze looked around and lighted upon the spears in need of repair and the cardinal feathers that he had collected. "If you would not mind waiting, would you care to take one of these hunting spears with you? I can repair one quickly, and decorate it with the feathers and some red paint, if some berries are around. Red is the color of spring and rebirth, to our people." He hoped that his offer would be satisfactory, for he didn't want to send her back to her home empty handed.

they're fun :3

She had been there from the beginning, or so she felt as if she had. There was no other pack that she had ever stayed in as long as she had been in Crimson Dreams. The woman felt as if she had help form it, if she was not part of the creation, into what it was now. She and her leader ‘s bond was solid, close knit and they knew well the message that was to be sent into the world around them. Crimson Dreams was a place of peace, and it was a place to be protect and one to seek refuge within. The wolfess had not welcomed a newcomer into her home without telling them so, and the message was conveyed in all of the actions of the groups leaders. She hoped, and believed, that all the members lived in the same light.

Anu always liked to receive feedback about the pack, and his kind words about Ghita would not go unnoticed or unrewarded. She had done what the Commander and Lt General always asked of their followers, and Anu was happy to see it shown in the face and eyes of the pale wolf. I hope you always know us in such a light. The blue eyed wolfess spoke softly, still reflecting inward as she thought of Ghita.

It felt right, that Nayati would take the plant to his leader, a true offer of peace and celebration of the new life spring was to bring them. As always she wished for the living creature to have a loving home, if this Dawali would know how to care for it then she would be happy if he had it. She gave a small smile, her eyes brighter now. Of course she felt the need to give the small instructions. If she had not told him, there would be the chance he would not know. Such a thing would be neglect on her side.

Eyes watched as the feather decorated male looked down at the things he worked on, she waited patiently, for it looked as if there was something that he contemplated. It did not take long for him to speak up, and she looked at the spears as he spoke of them. His offer was a gracious one, and the Dreamer was taken aback by it for a moment. Are you sure? she questioned. A spear was something that he could need in the future, and something Anu did not see herself using, it was such a larger offering then the small plant that she gave. That’s very generous. She spoke, warmth in her tone.

yes they are! Big Grin 300+

Since Anu had brought them this friendly offering, he had no doubt that she was glad to hear a good report about one of her members. He was glad to give the leader the knowledge that so far his dealings with her pack had been positive, and he also hoped that he was helping Ghita out in some way. Nayati had always been greatly honored when good news of him had reached the tribe's chiefs and elders, so hopefully he had brought such good health to her as well. "If all your pack are as you two, I cannot see it going any other way," he said with sincerity. "Do tell her that if she ever wishes to hunt with me again, I would be glad to. We work in very different styles, but they meshed surprisingly well. Onawa wishes for me to have more such experiences, I believe." His gaze shifted to his Guide, who was still silently looking on. Working with others on the hunt had always been a sort of weakness of his, but Ghita had shown him it could be enjoyable.

It was only right to take the plant to the Kalona. It was an offering from another pack, from the leader of their neighboring pack, and Dawali needed to be aware of their generosity. Plus, Nayati had no doubt that if he kept the plant he would surely kill it. Not intentionally of course, but he did not have the knowledge to know what it needed and what it did not. Plants were delicate things, and he was far too ignorant and clumsy to care for the gentle beings. Dawali had those gifts though, and he would do a fine job caring for the gift plant.

The Utina saw her surprise at his offer, but it didn't seem like too much to him. When she questioned it he only nodded his head confidently. "I am sure. If Dawali were here, he would wish to give something in return. Since he is not present, I will do that in his stead. Even if you do not use it, it could be a symbol for the friendship between our homes." He was going to decorate it after all, and it would do better as more of a decoration. As with Ghita, the Dreamers probably didn't use spears to hunt, but they could do with the offering as they saw fit. "The plant was generous as well. It is not the size of the gift that matters, only the meaning behind it." He did not feel cheated, and no one else in the tribe would either. "Please, make yourself comfortable." Carefully he set the plant down and took up one of the lesser damaged spears. It only needed it's spearhead reattached. Sitting back as he had been, he took up the feathers and some thin strips of leather, his hands beginning the work.

Anu saw something in this male, a quiet reflection of some sort. It might be the soft glow of the sun in his eyes that caught her spirit and calmed her, or she wondered if it was the shining moon’s subtle vibrancy that she could sense from him. But, what ever it might be, Anu could tell that he was like she was. A soul that honored the smallest things, and nurtured the world around them. Even the big cat, whom in another setting would be terrifying, brought her a great feeling of tranquility. He spoke, deep voice resonating though the air between them as smoothly as he moved around with the long wooden spears. Anu smiled at his kind words, and responded brightly. I will. She is one of our best, and I’m sure that she would accept. The female looked at the puma, still trying to fully understand their connection. She knew that it was deep, rooted in their minds and hearts. But how they reacted to the other, and if their relationship was one of friendship or a mentorship she was still unsure.

Leaving the question to the quiet regions of her mind, his tone directed her once more to the spears and the generous offer. I will be sure to find a place in our home to display it. Anu had no intention of using it, and she wondered if she could even lift the long weapon. It was very generous of him, even if he thought it only polite. It came from the garden that I tend near our large house. Anu explained, then took the seat that he offered. She settled in the long grasses, blue eyes looking up to watch as he took up the long stick and then the feathers and leather to begin the process. She looked on intently, curious to see how he placed them on for decoration. She knew her adoptive daughter Mati would love this, and might need to explain the process to her once she saw the treasure Anu was to bring home.

How long are you been in these lands Nayati? The fey wondered aloud, sitting cross legged and looking up at the pale male.

It was refreshing to meet someone outside of the tribe who seemed to hold the same values his people did in high regard. His encounters with the two Russian wolves had been very pleasant and he had enjoyed their company, but it was not quite the same as meeting someone you could consider a kindred spirit. Onawa's reaction made it all the more powerful and interesting. It was rare enough that she looked at someone the way that she looked at Anu, but he was certain that he had never seen her do so for someone who was AniWayan. Nayati was glad that her pack was the tribe's neighbor, and that they were of a peaceful sort. They did have their warriors, but they were more for protection than aggression. AniWaya, to his knowledge, had never gone out seeking a fight. They only wished to live their lives freely, as any other creature. "Well, I look forward to our next meeting then." Even if they did not hunt, perhaps he could explain more of his beliefs with Ghita, for she had seemed interested in them that day.

Anu's kind words brought a great sense of pride to him that settled warmly in his chest. He would have to make sure that he did a good job making the spear presentable. "That would honor me greatly, and my people as well," he responded reverently. If his sense of purpose hadn't been strong before, it was strong as a bear now. The Utina would make sure to give her and her pack such a gift as to make them pleased and to bring renown to AniWaya. Anu settled herself in the grass and as she did Onawa stalked a big closer, sitting again when she was an equal distance away from both luperci. "A large house? How large?" Was it the size of a great lodge? That was about as big as the tribesman could imagine a building. He had never inhabited anything that the humans had left behind, only structures that the tribe had built itself.

Carefully he wrapped the point back onto the shaft of the spear with the leather. Every few wraps he inserted the quill of one of the cardinal feathers, wrapping it along with the rest. As he had the top of the repair secure he slowly spun the leather lower, continuing to add a feather every few times around. "I have been here for about...two moons now I believe. It was a long journey from the Great Tribe to here," he answered while his eyes were still intent upon his work.

Though she knew the war to be finished, Anu would always be weary of Dahlia and those that lived there. She was content in knowing that there was at least one constantly peaceful pack beside the one she called home. It was not always easy to make the acquaintance of every beast that she happened to come upon, but Nayati was like a few rare gems. Smoothly they settled into conversation, the bond forming instantly and strengthening steadily. She remembered how it had been the same with his fellow tribes member Hemming, things had been so simple and easy. But that had been in a more playful way. This was spiritual, if she needed to place a word upon it.

Displaying the spear was the least she could do with such a gift, and Anu would feel foolish and selfish is she kept it to herself and in her own room. Hers was small and she kept it’s furnishings minimal, a sign of her yearning to be free of the humanized possessions. She felt closer to the Earth and Sun among their children, not in a clutter of human things. But this was a creation of hands that had been born of the ground and she was honored to be able to show the rest of her Dreamers the good tidings that she brought from his tribe. Out of the corner of her eye the wolfess could see the big cat moved closer, but there was no fear in her chest. It was once easy to think of her as normal cat but she knew the difference well and could even feel it. It was like the energy around her mimicked that what Anu saw from the grass and trees around them. Purity.

Quite large, yes. More rooms then I have been able to explore. She wore a smiled as she explained, her home always brought her a warm feeling when she thought and spoke of it. And old, but we maintain it.

Blue eyes watched closely, listening as he worked. Her curiosity got the better of her and her occupied mind made it difficult to weep out the questions. Though, he didn’t seem to mind her asking before, so she gave another. Is that where everyone came from? Your Chief?

Some may have considered a spear a poor gift to represent friendship and peace between to settlements, but Nayati saw no problem with it. Besides, it was not the spear of a warrior, but that of a hunter. These spears were made and intended to help provide food to the tribe and keep them strong and healthy. To him, even if it weren't going to be used, it seemed a fine representation of what he meant it to be. It showed that AniWaya wished good food and strong bodies to those of Crimson Dreams. There were few better wishes that one group of wolves could have for another he thought. Without food, they could not survive, none of them. Food was the linchpin of everything else. Without it there was nothing. This was one of the reasons he had chosen the path of the hunter.

While he worked and talked, his focus was on the spear and his gaze did not waver from that objective, but as she spoke of how large the house was that she lived in his hand paused and he looked at her astonished. "That large?" It was a difficult concept for the man to wrap his mind around. He had never heard of a such a massive structure before. Well, outside of Anatoliy telling him of the city, which was something he was still very skeptical of. Things the humans had left behind held an odd place in his thoughts. Nayati did not fear them, but something just seemed wrong about them. He couldn't say exactly what. "I cannot even imagine a place so large." It seemed unreal to him, and that told him it was no doubt something that the ill race had left. He did not judge Anu for using it, but he knew he could never live in such a structure.

Setting his mind back to the task he had set himself about, he continued to wrap the leather and add the feathers to the hunting implement. There wasn't much left and soon all the cardinal feathers had been used and he was tying a knot in the leather to keep it securely strongly. Once done with that, his pale blue gaze searched around for any red berries he could use to stain the shaft of the spear. Spying some, he quickly got up and gathered a handful or two of the fruit before returning. Smashing a few in his hand, he began to rub the juices onto the wood. It wouldn't be as effective as properly made paint would, but it would give the wood a red sheen. "Not everyone here, only a few of us are from the Great Tribe. Our chief, Dawali, is one. His daughter Asha is the other. I have known them my whole life." He couldn't help but smile as he spoke of the Amaras, especially of Asha.

Nayati is good @ workin a spear….

Anu gave a soft nod, her eyes watching the taller hunter tie the feathers on the spear. She wondered how long he had been doing such work, but that question was easily answered by her own observations. It was obvious that the male had been taught at a young age, his ethnicity deeply rooted in everything that she could read off of his body, heard in his words. She imagined that he had always known, and that it had been the first thing he had picked up as soon as he knew how to shift. Anu did not use such things, her own body slight and unable to carry or throw a tool such as a spear very far, but she could see that he moved with it as if it was an extension of his own limb. She could see it even if the spear was in such a passive state. You are welcome to visit, I could take you for a tour. She said with a smile. Anu would love to show him the Manor, and where the spear would be placed in order for their alliance to be shown.

It must be nice to have found them, to still have that connection. Anu had no one from her past lives. Though she did not wish to replace anyone she knew now with someone from her history, Anu thought it would be nice to know them again. She glance over to Onawa, the puma seemed so content. She even wished at times that she had someone that would never leave, but such a thing was not meant for her. She lived on a rock in what seemed like a passing tide, and those that she still held stayed only at their own accord. She was a tree, stationary and unable to grab hold of those around her. Out of control, a single reminder of tranquility that provided those that wished to bask in it shade. Silent, voiceless. And yet still content.

The spear was not actually his specialty when it came to the tools the tribe used for hunting. True, he was adept with it, but he mostly used the instruments while fishing. When it came to prey that roamed the earth, it was the bow and arrow that were his implements of choice. It was the bow that he had first picked up and begun to train with. It was with them that he had devoted so much of his energy and training into mastering. If Anu could see how well he moved with the spear, she was only seeing a fraction of his true potential. His bow was as much a part of his body as either legs or arms. Her offer was generous, and he smiled at her invitation. "I would like that very much. I have not seen any of the other packs that live here yet." The Utina was very curious to see how the other wolves of these lands lived. He knew they would be quite different from his own home.

Nayati continued to smear the juices of the berry over the wood of the spear, making sure they stayed and did what it was he wished them to. "Yes, I do not think I could have come here if they were not present. I left much behind to come here and I cannot help but to become homesick at times. Especially for my parents and little sister and brothers." It hadn't been an easy decision to make, even with Onawa's encouragement. "But, I am needed here more than I am in the Great Tribe. I comfort myself with that knowledge." The Great Tribe had many hunters, and this tribe few. He was of better use here.

In another few minutes his work with the berries was also completed. He held the spear out straight across his palms, displaying it to Anu as well as looking it over himself. "I do not know how well the berry dye will stay on there, but hopefully if it is kept out of the rain it will do well enough." His strong arms extended the spear towards her to take, hoping that she would find it satisfactory.

maybe we should wrap this up?

Anu found his words to be surprising for they spoke of the male’s homebody nature. Indeed he had not been here long, but to not have ventured beyond the fence, Anu found it interesting indeed. But it was actually more exciting, to think that Crimson Dreams could be one of the very first places that Nayati explored. She would be honored to have him in her home, and to show that the other packs around his own were peaceful. Oh I hope you do. She wished to insist, but it was not her nature to push another forward. But she did hope that she would find him wandering the Dreaming borders. Him and Onawa.

Eyes danced as his hands painted the new piece of art, ears taking in the words that he spoke. She felt like she a pupil, sitting as the example was being shown. His story was not uncommon, but Anu still felt saddened at his homesickness. It was a worry she had for those that came to the Dreaming borders, and believed it was a reason for those that wandered away. AniWaya is lucky to have you She said with a smile, hoping to encourage the male that he had certainly made the right choice. Anu had left her birth pack willingly, but she thought of her family from time to time, but those wonders of wellbeing had turned to questions of if they were still alive. But there were such things that could never be known.

She was excited about the spear being finished, feeling as a pup waiting for a present. Her tail wagged inadvertently, and eyes grew bright. As he spoke Anu shook her head and spoke, Oh it won’t see the rain, She assured him, smiling. Taking it in her hands she felt the weight of it. It was lighter then she had thought, and beautiful. Thank you, its beautiful. Her eyes looked at the feathers that decorated it, the few words were all that Anu could say as her voice was lost.

It was a little strange, even to him, to stick so close to his home. The only times he had ventured beyond the fence were on hunting missions, and he returned to the tribe as soon as he had finished. Perhaps it was him adjusting to all the new things in his life and all the things that were absent. He thought it was also fear of losing what little he did have here. If he was away for a long period and someone attacked the tribe and he lost either Dawali or Asha, well, he would never be able to forgive himself. Nayati would likely go mad with the grief and guilt of it. It was a somewhat illogical fear for he had met no one hostile in these lands, but they had faced too much violence back in their original home for him to be completely content. "I am certain that I will," he reassured her. No matter his concerns, he wouldn't hide himself away in AniWaya forever.

Her compliment made the male blush softly beneath his pale fur. Being a productive and respected member of the tribe was a goal that he constantly and relentlessly strove for, but whenever he did receive praise it was almost as if he felt he didn't deserve it. The Utina was not sure why this was, for he had never done anything to disappoint as far as his knowledge went. Maybe he would never get over his bashful yet grateful acceptance of praise. "I thank you. It is very kind of you to say." The words were heartfelt, and gave a glimpse into the core of his being.

To see Anu's tail wag and she was present with the finished product instantly belayed any fears he had that it would be an insubstantial gift. His smile grew as she complimented his handiwork and he felt the flush of his cheeks flare up once again. "I'm no craftsman, they are the ones who make truly beautiful works, but thank you. I hope that you and your pack will enjoy it." His own tail gave a small wag, a feeling of true accomplishment running through him. Nayati felt he had done something very helpful and beneficial for his tribe. Not only that, he felt he had made a good friend in the Dreaming leader.

Anu was ever so grateful that she was able to make this connection between Crimson Dreams and Aniwaya. As they both seemed to understand it was extremely important that their packs had this friendship. In times of unknowing and insecurity it would comforting to know that her neighbors were there for the Dreaming pack. He would come to see her, broaden his horizons and find that beyond the fence was beautiful and each time he returns home he will feel satisfied in his exploration and reassured in the familiar atmosphere. Good. Anu confirmed with a soft tone and a nod.

Holding the staff Anu turned the rounded wood in her hands. It was unlike anything she had ever seen, and because of that Anu found it very beautiful, even if he claimed that his skill was only moderate. The pack would surly enjoy it, I’m sure they will. Her hands rested on her lap, eyes looking down at the spear. Thank you again Nayati, Onawa for your hospitality. She knew that the day was aging and it would be late when she returned to the Manor. I should return home, I thank you again for the gift. She was sure that she would not be able to thank him enough.

The female rose, a smile upon her face. Acknowledging the white wolf as well as the guide cat before turning to find her way back to her homelands.
