He secured her not. She tried to wiggle a little more to find some give in her bonds. But there was no such mercy, no little slip of chance to make her odds any better. She narrowed her gem bright emerald green eyes at the yellow eyed male. There was not much she could do now. She would have to bide her time; she would have to make sure that she could not get hurt by him again. That would mean that she would have to play his game it seemed. It would be a horribly bitter pill to swallow, but this was her life she was dealing with, or at least her livelihood.

In the dim light of the cave, she was unable to fully see him. Only his silhouette was apparent. Although she was unable to voice her thoughts, she was still pleased to note that the salty scent of his blood was still in the air. She had struck him, intending to hurt him as he had been intending to hurt her and to take her freedom. She had retained some small bit of power. And for now, that would be enough. Her limbs ached to be free. She wanted to stretch her legs and run and run until she was home.

Now, more than ever, she yearned for her mother. Naniko was a strong woman and she knew that she would have seen through this male's deception. And her mother would have had the ability to get away. There was so much she had not learned from her, and she knew that her mother was not here to save her now. But she would not let that kernel of hopelessness spoil the fighting spirit in her. Caprica had a lot of her mother in her. She would find a way to escape.
