All sense of place and time was lost to the pup as he padded quickly along the beach. There were strong scents everywhere, ones that made him twist and turn his head in different directions to try and see who was nearby, but he never stopped running. These were scents heavy enough to keep a fire beneath his feet and make him run all the faster. They were so, so strong! He was afraid of whatever was out on this beach and in the surrounding woods, but the thought of home had kept his little paws going. Gideon thought that he was headed back toward the mountain that his Mama, three siblings, and he had come over to get to these lands. Everything here smelled so bad to him, though! Nothing smelled like home at all.

He probably smelled pretty bad, too. Mama had bled a lot and he had been very very close to her that night, snuggled up with Ascher and Mama for sleepy-time. For some reason, she had fallen asleep early after Grandma had come after them. Grandma hadn't been very nice to him...she had picked him up and almost threw him! She wasn't a very nice Grandma...he wouldn't talk to her any more if he saw her again.

His paws were gathering more and more dirt and debris as he went, sand, leaves and twigs sticking to the layer of blood that covered both them and a majority of the rest of his body. Most if it wasn't his. Gideon didn't know what blood was, though, or what it had meant. Mama's fur had been very sticky...that was what he remembered, and that his paws had made little squishy sounds in the grass as he had gotten up from his slumber the morning after Grandma had come and fought Mama. When he had looked down, in the bright light of dawn, he had seen all the black-red water. Never in his life had Gideon seen water like that before. Ascher had tried to drink some of it, but he had stopped his brother before he could do that. Reddy water wasn't good for drinking, he felt sure of it.

But now even Ascher was gone. Gid had turned his back for not even a minute and the smaller puppy had up and disappeared. They had realized after a while that Mama wasn't waking up yet, and his brother and he had decided to try and find their way home by themselves so that she could sleep some more. Maybe Ascher had found Shiloh and Saul on his way back there. Once Gideon found another adult from his pack, he would have to ask them to go back to Mama and help wake her up.

The really strong smells were starting to come all over again. It was day-time once more and the darkly colored pup could see pretty far off into the distance...from what he saw, the beach continued on and on. He wondered how long it went for...did it go on and on forever? Maybe it was time to take a rest. No one was around. He slowed down a little then came to a complete halt, his breath still coming in small gasps. It came slower and slower as more time passed before it was back down to normal.

Gideon took one more glance around before sitting down, turquoise eyes trained on the territory in front of him. He would rest for a few minutes before going through this place. If he saw other wolves he'd probably have to run real fast to get away, without Mama here to protect him. He'd have to get his breath back. After only a few moments of sitting, however, the blood-spattered pup was fast asleep, reclining down onto his belly in the sand.

OOC: *nomnomnom* Eeee! XD

It had been a beautiful morning, but the day hadn't remained so pretty as it had worn on. What had begun as a cloudless late spring sunrise had evolved into an overcast dreary greyness that threatened the Nova Scotian lands with rain. Thankfully, it hadn't begun yet, and Bris planned on being back in her nice little treehouse before it did. The white yearling trotted along the sandy coastline in her wolf form, having finally been able to shift for the first time since she was injured. Unfortunately, she was beginning to think it hadn't been the best idea, for she was now getting sand and dirt all along the healing creases of both pawpads where Cotl's sword had left its mark. Travelling in this form was much faster than in her optime, but she was beginning to wonder if beating the rain home was worth the time it would take to clean and redress her wounds. Either way, it was too late to change her mind.

Thunder rolled in the distance as the young Stormbringer hurried along, the usually earthy-colored sand appearing as a dreary grey expanse before her. Rocks littered the edge where the storm-tossed seawater lapped at the beach, and a particularly large stone near where the sand met the grasses caught the young girl's eye. Cocking her head in curiosity, Bris changed direction and headed straight for the lump of darkness that lay on the sand.

As she drew nearer, it became plain to see that the dark lump was definitely not a rock, but the quiet form of a small puppy. Bris approached softly, not wanting to scare the life out of the little thing. For a moment, she thought he might be dead, killed by some predator or even the wandering insanity of Haku that still threatened all of Souls with his madness. The charcoal boy was covered in blood, but Bris' held breath let out when she saw that he was indeed still breathing. Still, she couldn't quite tell if the blood was his from the way he was laying. It was still very possible that he was hurt, and badly. Her voice was soft but stern as she spoke, wanting to rouse him to consciousness. "Wake up little one. Are you alright? Where is your mother?" The white girl's brow was furrowed in concern, her mismatched eyes gentle but full of worry for this little wayward pup who'd seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

O HAI THERE! And he has puncture wounds on the back of his neck and scratches along his sides. :3

He didn't know what it was that had stirred him from his slumber at first. Bright turquoise eyes remained unfocused for a few seconds and he stared straight ahead in a dazed confusion. He felt a little chilly despite the sun that shone brightly overhead, unused to going without the warmth of his mother's soft, furry belly during sleep, and shivered against the light breeze that wisped through the territory. A small frown crossed the pup's face when he realized that he had fallen asleep.

Then, with the turn of a head, he realized what it was that had made him wake up. There was a big, big wolf...one a color he had never seen before! She had really weird looking eyes, two different colors, as well. Was she a ghost?! Saul had told him stories about ghosts. They were bad news! It asked him a question and he watched its mouth move, trying to move his head so that he could see up inside of the mouth. Could he fit in there?

He was very afraid of this ghost but knew that he would have to answer its question, lest it devour him. What would his Mama say if he didn't come back because he had gotten eated? She would be looking for him. And his siblings would miss him too. His voice was shaky as he responded, quivering a bit as he got all four paws beneath him again. "Neck hurt, fur hurt...Do ok! Do ok though! Runned fast. Mama..mama sleeping. She sleep by da red watur" He lifted up a paw to show her the water too. "Where joo come from, ghost? I fit in mouth? No like that."

OOC: <333333 Sorry this is choppy, I had to write a couple words at a time between customers and phone calls. =.=

As the child woke from his nap and turned a bit, Bris was able to see that though he was covered in blood, not all of it could possibly belong to him. Something had gotten ahold of him though, as there were obvious teeth marks along his puppy-sagging scruff. Shallow scratches raked the puppy's sides as well, and Bris was immediately filled with both concern and fury at whatever had happened to threaten the boy. But it wasn't until the charcoal pup spoke that Bris felt her heart break for him.

His words nearly drew tears from the young girl's eyes, but she held them back. Whatever had attacked the boy had taken his mother from him, and the fact that he had made it to Dahlian territory made Bris doubt that there was any sort of father in the picture. There was no doubt in her mind that Conor would let the little one stay with the pack, but Bris had to be certain before she called him that the boy would have no one coming after him in a fit of rage and accuse the Dahlians of kidnapping.

The white lady couldn't help the soft chuckle that left her mouth at the pup's last few words. She smiled gently as she drew nearer, her motions slow and completely nonthreatening as she lowered herself beside him, shrugging off her satchel and curling her warm body protectively around his tiny form. Her voice was soft and comforting, her tongue warm as she gently licked his wounds after she'd spoken. "Don't worry, I promise I'm not a ghost. Ghosts can't touch you. Ghosts can't protect you from monsters either. What about your daddy? Is he sleeping with your mama?"

Posting quick before work :3 And "wives" = "lives" lol

Her fur was so very different from wolves that he could remember seeing...he was having a hard time believing that she wasn't a ghost. He'd never seen something so bright before in his life. Gideon looked at her skeptically for a moment, thinking over what she had said before nodding in agreement. She seemed real nice, asking him these questions, and she hadn't tried to hurt him. Maybe she was a friend! His mama had told him all about friends, and about what friends did for each other. Friends worried about each other. She seemed worried about him!

Bris had said the word "monster", a word that he knew as well. Monsters were even worse than ghosts! That was definitely what he had seen in that other territory, now that he thought about it. Those glowing eyes, that creepy creepy laughter. Monsters. "Duur were munsturs! I see'd them! Big big, and scary eyes!" He exclaimed.

"'an Daddy? Daddy not wiv me, he wives in a wolf pack far 'way from home. Duhlia! Mama say so. Mama say..we goin' a find him" He explained. Now that he was standing up his fur was starting to itch a bit. Unable to resist, he tilted his head back and lifted his back leg up to scratch at his ear a little. "Whashoo name?" He asked after he was finished. Gideon tried to shake his coat out to get some of the debris off of him, but only succeeded in losing his balance and falling backward onto his rump. "I be Gideon!"

OOC: Kk, Bris is gonna call for Conor nao. YAYZ. XDD And oblivious woman still hasn't asked Giddy WHO his daddy is, hurrrrr. =X

There was something delightfully comical in the clumsy actions of pups. Bris couldn't help but smile as her newfound charge fumbled over his own actions. She was amazed he wasn't whimpering in pain, even though the cuts that littered his form had stopped bleeding. There was no doubt in Bris' mind that they had to be sore, yet the young boy showed no sign of letting them bother him. His attitude was energetic and attentive, which was at least a good sign that there were probably no serious unseen injuries troubling him anywhere. Of course, she could only imagine how hungry the poor thing must be, and he looked about the age of just having been weaned off of his mother's milk. If he was going to stay here in Dahlia, Bris certainly hoped that was the case. She didn't know of anyone who'd had a recent litter who could nurse the pup if she were wrong.

Bris' brow furrowed in worry as the child spoke of monsters. Something had definitely gotten ahold of him and probably taken his mother's life, but the Stormbringer had a strong feeling that that particular monster wore the mask of her own kind. There was something oddly familiar about the myriad of individual scents beneath the blood that caked the boy's fur, but for the moment Bris couldn't place it. It was only after the pup explained the whereabouts of his father that she had a better idea of what it must be. If his father were someone Bris knew, that would explain the familiarity of the child's scent. "Gideon, huh? Well that's a very strong name, Mr. Gideon! And you're in luck! You happened to have found the very pack I think you said your daddy lives in. This beach here belongs to my pack; we're called Dahlia de Mai."

Bris smiled at the gangly boy, keeping her own attitude cheerful despite the pang of worry that still shrouded her thoughts on Gideon. "My name is Bris, and it's a pleasure to meet you Gideon. And if your daddy is in fact here in Dahlia, I know just the wolf to ask about him. His name's Conor, and he's the leader of the whole pack. If anyone will know where your Daddy is in Dahlia, it'll be him. I'll howl for him, and then what do you say we try to find you something to eat? You hungry?" Bris rose to her feet as she finished speaking, then raised her wet black nose to the sky. Her call for Conor was short and simple, and she had no doubt he'd hear her request for his presence wherever he was. Bris was certain he'd welcome the injured pup into the Dahlian family, but it would be beyond rude to make assumptions. Her call finished, the white shewolf walked over to where she'd left her pack, slipped the sash over her shoulder and onto her back, and gave Gideon an encouraging "follow me" look before setting a slow pace deeper toward the heart of Dahlia. Her goal was to find something for the wounded child to eat, and to shorten the distance Conor would have to travel to find the pair.

Her name was Bris. He thought that her name was very pretty, and now he could stop calling her "ghost-lady" in his head. "Hope we finds Daddy!! Need to see 'im, he can hewwp me! He can find bruvers and sissy" Shiloh was who he was the most worried about. She was the only one who could calm him down sometimes when he got angry or frustrated. "Hopin' he wives here. 'An Bris is a goooood name!"

Gideon looked around again. This place looked very different from home. She said that she was a part of the pack that lived here, though, so he would follow her into the territory so that he could meet his daddy. She howled for some reason that he didn't really understand, then picked up her things. He was so, so hungry...and his paws needed a good rest. Also, there was still the stink problem...he was still stinky from going around the coyote territory. And he would need a nice warm bath to get rid of all the red water that had stained him all up. Hopefully daddy would be there to take care of him like Mama had said he would.

He nodded real quick when she asked if he was hungry. He hadn't even realized how really hungry he was until she'd said that! He had been very focused on getting away from Mean Grandma and on finding Saul and Shiloh that he hadn't even thought about how empty his belly was. It made a gurgly sound as he put his head down, padding quickly along behind the white wolf. His wounds did hurt quite a bit as well, but the constant movement from the running had kept him from feeling much of it. He had been using all of those muscles and had been full of adrenaline, which had prevented him from feeling much of what was beginning to set in now. He didn't whine or complain, simply following quietly behind his new friend Bris.

HEEEEREEEE'S JOHNNY LIBRI! 300+

A call rose up and Conor’s body automatically shifted and turned in its direction. It was not often he was called for, and so he was curious about what it could be. The optime pushed himself up from his spot under a tree outside the house he and his family lived in and decided after a moment of hesitation to leave the book he was reading inside the entrance hall so that he would not risk leaving it for potential rain to ruin. The children were too old to find it exciting to chew apart any longer. The young male turned and paused for a moment more; taking in the emptiness left after Alexey Koios. Fingers curled up to fists, but it was alright. It would be okay. Perhaps it had been the best thing she could have done for him. Now he would be able to let go more easily.

A few minutes more were spent in his optime before he made the choice to change into four legs to pick up the pace. It was a long way from Wolfville to the borders, and the surprise was very pleasant when he later saw Bris’ form moving towards him. A good thing he had come from the city then, or else he would have to follow their trail. As he closed in on the pale pack member he also saw someone else, and his pace died. It was a small child and he looked horrible. Lips tensed and Conor locked his jaws and muscles in place before the frown managed to interrupt his soft features. He could feel his heart pace climb and fire burn in his chest. Instead of letting go though, the golden male merely swallowed and closed his eyes for a brief moment before continuing towards the duo.

He wished for nothing more to take the child in his arms. ”Bris,” he greeted softly with a nod, letting his lavender eyes rest on her face for a split moment before it fell down on the little, injured child. This was something that should not happen. Ever. Yet here he stood gazing at yet another child reeking of blood and nothing. Bris had brought him into the lands, but Conor doubted it was merely for medical reasons. It was true that Dahlia’s alpha could patch him up, but that was not all. The boy did not belong in these lands—under the heavy fragrance of copper there was no pack claiming this small boy. It was fucked up and it was wrong, and lilac eyes held sorrow in them as he watched the poor thing. ”Hey, you! I'm Conor.” A false smile settled on the yearling’s lips, but the child would not be able to tell. He turned to Bris, awaiting the explanation he knew would come.

Bris let out a sigh of relief as Conor's welcome form came into view in the distance. A small smile played at the corners of her lips, and she turned her attention to the small pup who was dutifully following beside her. The Stormbringer's footsteps were deliberately slow. Gideon was in no shape to be wasting his remaining energy on keeping up with her. Bris longed to carry the child by his scruff, but the harsh puncture wounds that marked the back of the pup's neck made that notion impossible. The walk to a place of rest would be tiring and long, but once there the boy would be able to sleep his cares away and heal.

"That's my friend Conor coming to meet us. He's the leader of all of Dahlia, the one I told you about. You'll like him a lot, he's very nice and very brave. He won't let any more monsters hurt you." In truth, Conor had been the only one with the courage to stand up to the worst monster any of the pack had ever known: his father. But that story was far too complicated to tell the boy yet. Perhaps someday in the future, when he was a bit older, his father could tell him the story of Dahlia's brave boy king.

The Stormbringer's mismatched eyes lit up faintly as they met Conor's violet gaze, her lips curling into a soft smile of greeting before turning her attention back to addressing the obvious reason for her call. The leader's face had fallen to an unmistakable look of empathy and worry at the sight of the injured pup, and Bris sent up a silent thank-you to the wolf gods for granting her chosen pack the leader they so desperately had needed.

As she spoke, Bris kept her voice cheerful, though she had no doubt the male would catch the seriousness of the situation. "Conor, this is my new friend Gideon. He's a very brave boy who came here all by himself to find his daddy. He says it's someone in Dahlia. I told him that if anyone would know where to find him, it'd be you. He even saw some monsters!" Introduction made, Bris waited to see what the child's reaction would be. Only now did it occur to her that she hadn't gotten around to asking him what his father's name was, if he even knew it at all.

ooc: Big Grin I got called in to work ;___; but I said I would only work a half a shift because I am tired. So I work 6-10. Enough time to do a bit of writing Smile And if anything about this post isn't ok, feel free to tell me ^^ I'm making up a bit of Dawnrunner culture.

Gideon was glad that Bris was keeping to a slower pace; for each of her footsteps he took three or four, having a shorter gait. It wasn't too quick of a pace, just a moderate one for the whelp. His head was full of thoughts as he looked around and admired the trees and grasses around them. He could hear animals, too, high up in the treetops and craned his head back to see if he could catch sight of a bird, his face fixing into a slightly frightened expression. He was also looking for snakes up in the trees. He had heard that there were a few snakes who could climb trunks of trees...that would be the worst kind of snake. The boy didn't like snakes much at all, especially near him or within his sight. He tried to stay educated on them so that he could stay away from them. But if they could go up in the trees..well, nowhere was safe any more. One could drop on him at any moment!

His face was stuck in that worrisome expression when Conor arrived. He huddled beside Bris, the more known one of the two strangers, and stared. Something didn't feel right about what was going on between the two wolves--they were just smiling and talking? When his grandpa had come across anyone in the pack, even a pup, they were expected to act in a way that would show Grandpa how much they respected him and his lead. Bris hadn't done anything to show this Conor wolf that he was the leader...if that was who this was. Gideon sunk down onto his belly as the alpha introduced himself. His name and rank was reaffirmed by Bris, and Gideon's tail curled between his legs, up against his belly, ears going back. When the great alpha opened opened his mouth and addressed the charcoal pup he rolled onto one side, ignoring the sharp feelings that came from his side-wounds so that he could display his mix-colored belly to the leader. He could barely believe that the alpha of the whole entire pack was even talking to him!

Luckily, Bris introduced him to Conor. This relieved the pup; he didn't know what he could say to a leader that wouldn't get him a swat or a nip. But then the floor was left open for him to speak. He didn't know that his actions were anything other than ordinary, and he trembled slightly as he opened his mouth, eyes resting on Conor's large brown paws in front of him. “G-Ganpa Azraeel Not like it when I tulked to him. You lead? Alpha? No talk to you” It made sense to him. “Bri-is...I look for daddy Druy. Druyurrr" He looked up at her hopefully; perhaps she would relay this message to Conor for him.

The child’s behaviour made golden audits fall flat against the yearling’s skull. There was no doubt that someone strict had taught this boy some manners. To know how to behave was a good thing, but the child could not be more than two, three months and nothing was suspected from it. Conor wanted to turn and walk away—did not want to deal with this. It was revealed that he was Gideon, a little brave boy that had been left alone and seen monsters. The pale smile on the caramel coated male’s lips seemed so false, contradicting him so. It was hard to act cheerful when the world was so wrong. And what was this about his father? Conor was about to ask for a name, but the little boy claimed his full attention as his squeaky voice rose.

Confusion hit him when the boy spoke. No talking? What twisted home was it that the boy came from? The Soul male knew well that packs outside of Nova Scotia could be different in every way thinkable, but he found it odd that someone had been so very strict with a little child. It saddened him, and he could not have the child roll around and cause himself pain. Leadership was merely a title and some responsibility—it did not make him any better than anyone else. The male wanted to nuzzle the little thing, wanted to shift and take the poor child in his arms and carry him away. He felt that it would be foolish to do so though, as the child clearly had issues with him. Reluctantly, Conor decided to stand his ground.

”I would like it if you talked to me, Gideon,” he decided to say as he refreshed the suffering smile on his cream coated face. He tried to think of a Druyurrr Druy, but the name seemed alien to him. Of course this was a young child without the ability to correctly pronounce the words it wished to speak. Eyebrows furrowed slightly as he thought about current and former members. Then, a small sparkle lit up the darkness. ”Dreyrugr is your daddy?” Yes, that was the name of Alexey’s former lover. If it had not been for that, the Dahlian would have had a tough time remembering the name, as the male had left when he was still very young—too young to be able to keep an overview of Dahlias members.

Eyes rose to Bris again. There was a problem; Drey was not here. However, he was Bris’ brother—or so Conor believed—and perhaps the woman knew the whereabouts of the male? "Do you know anything about Drey's whereabouts?"

OOC: Sorry for the wait loves, no internet all weekend. XD Choppy post is crap, OMG SO DAMN BUSY TODAY. ;-;

Bris' heart flinched as Gideon rolled over to show his submission to Conor. Ranks were a simple thing in Dahlia de Mai, much more relaxed than they were even in Bris' home pack in Solbjorg. Sure there were trouble-makers who'd try to push their boundaries, but it happened so infrequently and was quelled so quickly when it did that things had just fallen into a relaxed atmosphere. Conor's leadership was unquestioned, and the breath of relief that all of Dahlia let out with the fall of Haku was another push in the direction of informality. Conor, though young, had proven himself more than capable of taking Dahlia in the confident direction it needed to be led.

Gideon's voice was a tiny squeak as he spoke from his submissive position, and for a moment, Bris tried to wrap her head around the name he attempted to say. She was coming up completely blank until Conor piped in. Drey? How could Bris' brother possibly be this lost little boy's father? The white Dahlian blinked in blank disbelief as she tried to make sense of it. "Gideon, is Conor right? Is Dreyrugr your daddy?"

Blue and violet eyes took their blank stare back to Conor's, slowly registering his question. "Drey usually hangs around the southern coastline, I can find him if I have to. But...something just doesn't make sense. Having a child, or even a mate, isn't something he would have kept a secret from everyone." No, it didn't make sense in the least, and Bris' brow furrowed in confusion as she chewed her lip in thought. "Gideon sweetheart, what's your mama's name?" Bris would figure it out somehow, and her soft mismatched eyes betrayed the absolute confusion and a hint of hurt at her brother's secrecy if this little foundling really did turn out to be her nephew.

What he wanted most was to not talk to Conor, but if the leader wished it of him then he would have to try. One should always follow what the leader said; they are the leader, and they know more than anyone. Whatever they say is right. Those were a few of the things that he'd learned over his few short months of life. He would always be respectful of the alpha. “Drey! Yuss!!" He chirped, regaining his feet in a flurry of movement.

He then looked to Bris, wondering if she had news of where his daddy had gone off to. He was supposed to be here, he thought. She said that she knew where he might be, which was the bestest news that he had heard all day! He could have jumped for joy. Somehow he had found the exact wolf he had needed! The answer to the question of his mother came quickly. “Abi Dawnrunner. An' my sister is Shiloh Dawnrunner, but mah bruthers are Stormbringers like me!! Ascher and Saul"

Just gonna accept you now, so there!!! WELCOME!!! 300+

He did not truly know what to think of this, but this seemed to be a quite complicated situation. They could easily wind up discussing this further, but Conor did not wish for the child to go through more than it had to until its wounds had been treated and it had gotten some decent sleep. Perhaps a meal as well. Yeah, the kid needed to be taken care of. Lilac eyes switched rhythmically between the two other canines as it was revealed that Drey was the father. So strange to see that man’s spawn here. He had believed the Stormbringers to stand closer together. To think that Alexey almost ended up with a male that so easily could abandon his own off—no, this was not fair. It was wrong to assume what had happened here. Perhaps Drey wasn’t even aware of what had happened. Perhaps they would find out more and understand the situation better, but at the moment he only wanted to take care of the child and the injuries.

”We will find Drey later,” he told the pale woman with the lovely eyes. He was sort of sorry to hear that little Gideon had siblings, but perhaps it was just that the small child had gotten lost and met a predator. Although wolves were the dominant species here, this world still belonged to wild animals, and not all of them had developed a conscience at the same level as the wolves. Perhaps he would be able to recognize what it was that had attacked the child once he got to take a look at those puncture wounds. ”It is okay, we will find your daddy and your siblings,” he said softly to the little child, hoping that his words would turn true soon. ”As for now, you should come with me and I will make the hurt on your back go away and get you something to eat.” His eyes rose to Bris’ as he said these words; seeking approval from the woman to bring the child back to the house. He needed his medical bag and it was left back home—how foolish of him.

”Bris will come too, of course,” he added, well aware of the child’s strange behaviour. It was sad—Conor adored children, but the little Stormbringer child seemed uncomfortable dealing with him. Hopefully that would pass.

OOC: *rolls around randomly*

Bris very nearly keeled over in shock when the child revealed his mother's name. Sapphire and amethyst eyes widened in surprise and veiled horror, and the yearling swallowed the lump that had come to her throat. Gideon was a child just like her, a hybrid of Stormbringer and Dawnrunner. But Bris had a very hard time believing that anything had been forced on Drey, as it had been forced on Bris' mother. Azrael would never take the risk of the Stormbringer blood being dominant, weak as he believed all females to be. Drey had merely been held as leverage against Kol and the rest of the Stormbringer pack. Crow would never have risked an all-out assault while Azrael held his loved ones hostage.

If Drey hadn't been forced into anything, then how was it possible for Gideon and his siblings to even exist? Dark coats were rarities among the Dawnrunners, and the more she looked at the charcoal boy the more she believed his words. Drey could never be described as the greatest gentleman there was, but Bris was also having a hard time believing he would have abandoned any children he knew he had. Then again, Gideon looked to be no more than two months old or so, which would have put Drey firmly in the beachfront cave in the southern territories when he was born. The wayward male probably had no idea that his children existed.

Conor's voice brought the white woman back to the present, and she offered the little boy a warm smile, hiding the conflict in her eyes. "I think I know just where to find him Gideon, so don't worry. I'll let him know very soon that you're here! And guess what? Your daddy happens to be my brother, which makes me your aunt! You're a very smart boy to have found us." Bris' gaze turned to Conor as he spoke up again, their depths softening in gratitude at his offer for the pup. It would have been silly to have brought the child back to the treehouse Bris called home; one wrong step and it would be a tragedy. For a moment, Bris felt her cheeks warm at Conor's blunt statement about her coming along, but it faded as she realized it was only practical. Gideon wasn't yet comfortable with the alpha, and he would need the constant reassurance of someone he trusted to help bring him out of his shell. It only made sense. The snowy Stormbringer's eyes sparkled a bit as she smiled at the young leader. "I'd like that very much."

Still smiling, Bris nudged Gideon's still-showing belly with her cold nose. "Come on sweetie, let's get you something to eat, and take care of those nasty boo-boos."

ooc: :33 Would you guys like to continue the thread, or slap an ooc ending on it? :3

He had thought that these two would help him find his Daddy, because he had gotten so lost and turned around, but it turned out that they wanted him to stay there too! He didn't know what to think of this at first. Was it good for him to stay here and wait for Daddy to come find him instead? He was so, so hungry...Daddy could find his own food and get it, but Gideon was too little. That decided the pup. That and the angry scratches that burned as he got up and stood beside the ghost-wolf Bris.

When Conor spoke to him he shrank back against Bris' leg, but brightened when he heard that Bris was coming with them. She then told him that she was his aunt! His Daddy's sister! This made him very pleased indeed...his tail wagged back and forth where he stood, forgetting his feelings about the alpha for a few moments. He nodded when Bris told him that they were going to get rid of his boo-boo's, shaking his fur out again and preparing to follow the two adults.
