Second Guess

Calm, steady. Anu enjoyed the simplicities of the world around her, and it was selfish of her but she indulged in them often. Sitting quietly, listening to the sounds of things that buzzed and sang around her, feeling new grass, soaking in the warmth of the sun or the cool shadow of a tree. There was little else that she needed from the word around her. And lately it was all she cared to do. But it was not her arboreal love of her meditative nature that caused it of course.

Anu waddled beside the Cours fey, their silence far from awkward and actually quiet pleasant. It wasn’t until the silence was suddenly broken that Anu turned to attention from a blissfully mindless walk to the noise of heavy hoof fall. The Dreamer’s water hued gaze shot to her companion with a surprised look, her eyes a bit wide. What was he doing? Blue orbs moved back to the horse, watching with interest.

Anu rested into a lazy and slow sit, her own smile gracing her cream and silver features. She found it simultaneously amazing and obvious that the stallion would be searching for sweet fruits and excited once his search was over. Anu wished she had ripe fruit to share with the shadowed horse, for all that budded from the apple trees were small, tart and hard fruit. I will have to deliver some ripe ones this fall. She spoke with her naturally soft smile. But of course you are always welcome here.

The second in command had no reason to hesitate extending this invitation to the woman and her horse. Her pack, the bravery she had shown this very day and the kindness she continued to share made Anu confident in the friendship that had just been forged .

Short one to wrap it up <3

Rem knew all too well that he would have to wait several weeks for the fruits to ripen and fall. But at least he finally knew were to look. Having only a found a few fruit bearing trees in the sandy soil of Cour des Miracles. The black horse trotted merrily around the orchard, stopping every few strides to sniff at one of the well kept trees as the two wolves sat watching. Both smiling at the little show he was putting on. That would be wonderful, I know Rem would appreciate it. It was good to know they were welcome and Anann would make sure that Anu would not come to regret such a decission.

They watched the horse for a few minutes, the both stood. Though Anu was slower and understandably more cautious in getting back on her feet. Anann walked with the Lt. General through the rows of trees and to the steps of the manor. Well, here you are. Home safe and sound. Looking to the rounded woman, a soft smile across her maw. If you ever need anything.. Anann wasn't sure what exactly she could provide that Anu's own pack would be unable to. Still she extended the neighborly offer. Take care, and maybe your little one's come into this world safely. Anann waited until the she-wolf had disappeared into the interior of the house before regaining her two-legged form and whistling for Rem, whom was still busy exploring the trees of the orchard. It was time they get back home.
