Exploring beneath a new moon
#1
It was a beautiful night out, the stars were bright in the sky because the moon was dark. The crickets were chirping from nearby and there was the smell of wet grass from the dew. It had recently rained so the earth was damp, sinking under the feet of the wolf dog walking through it. However, the strangest thing about the barely seen figure because of the darkness was not the fact that she was there but that she was not in a four legged form. In fact, she was in an optime form, something that she had not told anyone in the pack she could do. In fact, she was so uncomfortable with other people seeing she could do it that this was the first time she had gone into the form since she had joined Phoenix valley despite how much she enjoyed using the form for reading. Right now, she was exploring the village using the form, making sure not to go into any buildings that seemed claimed by people. In fact, she had spent all day watching people just to make sure that she wouldn't be breaking into any claimed house.

As a sillowette, the part dog looked oddly human, her floppy ears almost melding with the mane of hair to become a part of it. Her form was not slim but not fat either with a fair bit of toned muscle. Her tail was kept level and she crept around with interest. Her purplish red eyes almost looked like they could glow in the dark and would've made her look demonic except for the white angel eyes above her real eyes that seemed even more noticable in the dark with the slight light that illuminated her form a little from the stars. Aine kept to the walls of the house as she crept in, quite a bit nervous at the idea of sneaking into a place and exploring in this form but she was bored. She needed something to do and she wanted to read. It soothed her to be able to explore. Besides, she had heard from cerridiwyn that no one would look down on her or hate her for this form. Far from it, the other wolf constantly kept in her optime form and if she could do that then Aine could try to be in her form every once in a while. Specially since this pack seemed to have a number of people who could take the humanoid form.

She turned the door nob and entered the empty looking house in the village nearby the mirror lakes, looking around it. She crept around carefully so as not to disturb the furniture before finding a few books. In the dark, she read the titles and grinned at them. There were a few books on fishing and a couple of fiction books. She grabbed them in the dark and snuck quickly out of the house, glad to have them. She wasn't stealing them, she was borrowing them and planned to return the books later. She looked around for a dry place to sit and read before finding that the spacing between the house she had borrowed the book from and another house was the driest area. She sat down against the wall, making sure not to cramp her tail, before beginnig to read the book with the help of the flashlight she had also grabbed from the house. Her tail wagged slightly in a dog-like way as she started to read the book 'fishing for dummies' a content smile on her face. It had been a while since she had read so it was a little slowgoing but eventually she got into the pace of the book, not noticing how fast time was passing.
