It was a cool wet day, although the clouds in the sky didn’t threaten rain for now, they covered enough sun so that Liliana didn’t have to squint. She loved that part of the day, although the grass was still wet from the rain before as well as the morning dew that never dried up because the sun was hidden, she didn’t mind, her feet were getting wet but it wasn’t like she was drowning in freezing water, the cold wet she felt like a challenge to her, as she moved through Aniwaya, she was on her way to map out the borders of her home in her head, something she should have done a while ago. She learned that the borders around her were aniwaya and unclaimed lands, although she could tell a few parts of some of the forest and other places AniWaya owned, but they seemed to be Nuetral grounds. It still confused her to this day but she was mapping the actual land that they claimeds as theirs and only theirs. It was nice. Although she never addressed what she did as mapping more or less just memorizing what was there, she didn’t know the term, and from the looks of it she wouldn’t. she was quite illiterate, but she didn’t care for books when she could just walk around and she could easily look inside her head; rather than flip through some pages.

She noted some plants along the way, even the poison ivy that grew she’d have to find a way to get rid of it before it spreads and grows everywhere, but she was unwilling to touch those plants. She was halfway through her tour when she heard something scrambling around in the grass, she squatted down, spotting the noisemaker, it was a snake, squeezing onto a mouse. She watched it as it held onto its prey, fascinated by how it caught and killed the mouse, and she was more shocked when she saw the snake could actually eat the mouse whole! She watched it move it’s mouth unhooking its own jaw to fit the whole of its prey into the mouth. How extraordinary, she’d never think to do that, how did it digest hat whole thing bones and all? She decided to move away from the snake though, and cautiously moving to the next bit of area she had yet to put in her mind.

She had a lot on her mind with the new promotion, she couldn’t help to wonder if she had bitten off more then she could chew with the pups, and the promotion and the thought of even taking a co-rank was lingering in her head, all swirling around in a shimmering foggy mist. She was suppose to know all these paths in and out of the pack lands by now and she knew some but when it came to short cuts and leading the pack blindly if something would come up out of these lands into a safer area she knew she would falter there and would fail the pack and Jefferson horridly.
Paws moved with a rush out of the lands as she wanted to show her-self that she could do this. She lopped over the hills and trees that offered shade and a hidden path to the cabin that her little family lived in, he was the massive hunter and the protector the father in the old human stories and she the old mother looking after all the pups and making sure that the ins and outs of the family house was taking care of and she would make dinner for whenever the children or Ty would be home and would want a bite to eat before going on about the next thing on the day. It was odd and not what the husky marked lady had ever expected when she came back and was greeted by Geneva and a very pregnant Naniko.

Paw took her into the land of the very trusted allies to the valley, finding the clearly marked border lands she took the sent in, it seemed things had clam down since the April fools prank the two leaders had pulled. The tan ears shifted back on her head, the optime female pushed her hat back up as she tugged at a strand of her ginger hair as she watched the snake. She froze it didn’t matter that it had a mouse in its mouth and was in the process of eating it. It was a snake and she had phobias of snakes. She gasped tears coming to her sapphire eyes as she started to shake and she gasped for air, her eyes looked to the other female she didn’t seem to fear the snake..Why. Pontiac could feel her heart racing her palms started to sweat. The snake seems un phased by the panic stricken female. She took a step back feeling her ankle giving out on her she feel back falling onto a sticker bush. Not a peep came out of the tan and white female till she landed waist high in a briar bush. Tears finally came free flowing as she quickly cuffed her hands over her mouth trying everything in her might not to scare the snake.

Before she was too far though she heard some more rustling, this time from something much bigger, she whirled around and saw a wolf landing in a pricker bush, and could see she was desperately trying not to make a sound. She could see that she was staring straight at the feeding snake, well if it bit her, it would hurt but it wasn’t poisonous. She grabbed a long stick and pulled the snake up out of the grass and away from Pontiac, by many feet, she was quiet the whole time trying not to scare the other wolf away, then hurried to the peculiar wolf and held her hand out for her to grab.

Need a lift up?

She asked kindly , it had to hurt sitting in that bush, but she figured she’d get rid of the present danger that had caused such a fiasco before lending a hand, or there probably may have been trouble, just because she knew that a lot of wolves had the fear of snakes, well quite a few in the north regions, they rarely saw them but when they did it was funny to see their reactions sometimes, this was not the case, she seemed absolutely terrified and hurt and Liliana wasn’t smiling or laughing, she was actually worried for her, it definitely didn’t feel good to fall in a pricker bush.

The snake isn’t poisonous, it is too far away now to care about us anyway

She added reassuringly, wiggling her fingers for the woman to take them. Curious about where this wolf came from and why she was here, she’d never met anything with this coloration except for a horse here and there. She did spend more time with horses than she did with wolves though so maybe there were some with such markings. She’d have to ask when the new wolf was fixed up and feeling better.
