[ As it says. Private for Icarus. Let's see how these two boogie on down! I'll just say that the two were already on their way together? Bit of a powerplay here; forgive me. Tongue]

It was the middle of the day, just after noon, when 8 paws made their way into the lands of the Concrete Jungle. Their in tune movements were more of a stroll, taking their time to reach the large inner city. If anyone was around at the time, they would have heard vibrant speech which went along pleasantly with the scene. Two newly promoted siblings paired together, one of a dark brown, and the other an even more darkened color; black. Ember was the female of the two, and it was evident of her excitement. Though she wasn't overly hyper, she was indeed a tad bouncy, bringing light to her obvious age. Only 7 months old, and already a Lehrling? Plus, on top of that, she was given an opportunity to spend time with one of her brothers. Upon awakening, she had decided it should be the much anticipated Icarus day, seeing as how they didn't get to spend much alone time. Deep inside, Ember had always wanted to become attached to one of her brothers, just as Firefly and Kansas had once been. Those two already had their connection; regardless of the fact that Firefly was gone, she was certain the moment she returned, everything would be normal between them as if nothing had happened. So where did that leave Ember?

"Ikywus!" She teased, mimicking the accent she used to associate with his name a few months back when they were younger. "I'm readeh. Meh readeh to take on da city!" Apparently Ember still had a long way to go when the topic of her speech came up, but each day she was practicing. See, for Ember, their change in the ranks meant that they were essentially adults now- not fully, but half way. They were nearly official teenagers now, which in Ember's mind brought on the responsibility of change. And why shouldn't she? Above all of her personal interests, she knew it would make her father proud. That above all deserved her full attention and devotion to fixing her speech and sounding like 'the grown ups'.

Ebony head lifted up, green eyes taking in the sight of the city just before them. All of these huge buildings were enough to intimidate the young girl. Row after row after row, all seemingly similar and yet different in their own taste. Ember froze in her spot then, turning her head to gaze upon her brother, wanting to make contact with his own blue eyes. "Wow..." Was all she could speak at the moment, glancing now back and forth between him and the buildings. "Are we in da right place? Are wee thereeee?"

What do you say if we make this the thread where Icarus shifts for the first time? I'm not sure if Ember has already, but perhaps she could too if you wanted. :]

indent Icarus, though he wouldn’t always be the first to admit it, was actually rather fond of spending time with his sister. Sure, now that he was getting older he tended to go off on his own more, but he still enjoyed times like these when Ember came to him in hopes that they might spend a day together. The human city was a place Icarus had only been to once before, with an outcome that was not so pleasant. Either way, he was still courageous enough to go back for more. Maybe the two would find a great adventure, or perhaps develop a new passion. Frankly, Icarus was looking for anything that might make his adrenaline rush and body tingle.

indent The trek there had been filled with fruitless chatter, though Icarus didn’t mind one bit. In fact, he enjoyed being able to spend time with his sibling. It was nice to be able to talk about all of the things on his mind that perhaps a stranger wouldn’t be able to comprehend for lack of an understanding of the situation. Being his sister, Ember knew all about the happenings within Storm.

indent "We’re here!" Icarus called out, noting himself just how much his speech was improving. He wondered if he would turn out like his father, carrying the same accent that marked some of his words. It had plagued him more in his first months, but seemed to be diminishing quite a bit, even though Phoenix was the only parent around to influence. Icarus missed his mother, as did Ember, but he had decided to move on. No need dwelling on something he couldn’t change.

indent "Look’s pretty cool, huh? It was even creepier when I came alone – there was uh bunch of shadows ev’rywhere." Icarus cast his gaze on one of the houses, taking his memories back to when he had met that coyote hybrid. "Let’s check out one of these buildings!" He suggested, moving closer to their unfamiliar forms.
