She faltered easily. Her emotions ran wherever they pleased. She was not perfect. Mati had felt guilty ever since she had spoken to her half sister about their mother. Of course it had been weeks since she had given away their mother’s secrets, but she could not shed the pang of guilt that touched her each time she thought of the meeting.

The birth of her brothers had brought family into a new light. It had always been close to her heart, it had always been important but now Mati saw things differently. They had no blood relation to her, though their father was a mystery Mati knew this truth for certain. Their gray pelts and blue eyes did not speak of any lineage that she owned. But still, they were her brothers more closely then the four that lived in the Valley. It made the pack seem ever more important, and she walked through it with a slightly different purpose.

The brown wolfess stalked the halls on four paws, passing the room in which her mother had nested and checking with her nose that the litter and dam where well. Satisfied the Nanny rounded the large common room, and then headed out the door. A cast of clouds dimmed the sun’s glow, and yet the air still held the warmth of summer. Purple eyes wandered, seriousness laden in their bright hue, taking in the status of the world the lay beyond Haven Manor. Large paws carried a heavy body towards the back of the house, she was hesitant for Mati knew that entering the meadow towards the backside of her home would distract her from her task of patrol.

But she lingered at the corner only a moment before glancing out into the field of wild flowers. Their scent was overwhelming, tall stalks and soft leaves and itty bitty petals touched her legs as she wandered through them. Her eyes caught sight of the brick building as she glanced backwards, and then closed with a gleeful submission. The Church fey’s body found the soft ground before she knew that she was falling, and tense muscles eased with the stretch that caused her lips to turn upwards and her belly to twist and turn skyward.

Bright white paws scampered silently over the floor of Haven Manor as young Parker explored. Golden orbs peered from room to room on the first floor of the large mansion. She had made her way down the stairs without much difficulty today for she had not had her lamb with her to hinder her steps. No, her white plush toy was hidden safe and sound in the bedroom where hopefully it would not be found. This was never guaranteed, and Parker knew this, but the cinnamon and sugar pup liked to believe that her precious toy was safe or she might never let it out of her sight. As she neared the end of one hallway, Parker noticed one of the doors that led outside, towards the meadow in back of the mansion. Should she go outside? It was a nice day, just like the other day when her mother took her to the meadow for the first time. The petite Sadira girl had loved the meadow. There was so much to see and do, lots of stuff to learn about. But she couldn't go outside, not without an adult. That was a rule, and Parker was not a rule breaker. This stemmed mostly from the fact that she did not like getting into trouble, so she avoided disobedience at all cost. However, perhaps a peak outside wouldn't be so bad.

With that thought in mind the smiling, little fae scampered to the door, with luckily happened to be unlatched, and pushed it open a crack so that she could stick her head out. The outdoor air smelled absolutely glorious, full of wonderful scents so numerous it would take days to investigate them all. Then came the sight of all the beautiful flowers in the meadow and to Parker's surprise an adult! Not just any adult either, but Mati the pack's nanny. It had been awhile since Parker had last seen Mati, at least as far as her puppy memory could tell, but she definitely knew her. Maybe if Parker was quick she could dash over to Mati and hopefully not get into trouble for being outside without an adult. Mati would be there and Parker could therefore be outside. That made sense didn't it? Whether it did or not, Parker resolved to put her plan in action and in no time at all she leapt out the door and ran towards the Church woman as she lied their in the flowers. In all honesty, Parker was not moving very fast at all by adult luperci standards, but for her it felt like she was moving as fast as possible. In a matter of seconds she was a few feet away from Mati, where satisfied that she was now with an adult she sat down to catch her breath. Hopefully Mati would not mind the sudden intrusion, but Parker wanted so badly to come outside. Surely the nanny would understand, right? Golden orbs stared hopefully at Mati as the young Sadira panted quietly. That sprint had been a decent workout.

Mati stretched her legs, her back rubbing against the grass and scratching all the places that her canine limbs could not reach. It was a bit improper and foolish looking, but no one was there to see her, no one around to catch her in her lazy posture. With a sigh she rolled back to her side, large Earth tones paws reaching out into the long grasses, toes extending as if able to grasp a hold of the blades. Eyes fluttered closed, a small grumbling sound escaped her throat and she licked her lips and nose. The sun above and the summer season brought warmth to her exposed side, making her even more likely to fall into a dozy slumber.

It was impossible for her trained keen ears to not take in the rustling beyond her sprawled body, no matter how quiet. For a moment Mati ignored it, pretending that it wasn’t there at all. Then, with a small jolt and a heavy dose of self consciousness she rose the front half of her body and looked around with a new clarity on blurred purple eyes.

Breathing in the air around her nose and eye sight worked together to quickly find the pup that sat beside her. Parker, the light toned Sadira child sat with a wide mouth grin. She panted, as if she had just hurried herself towards the older Dreamer. She shook her serious looking face and placed a smile on her maw. Hey there Parker Mati gave with a sweet tone. It didn’t seem like anything was wrong, for the Nanny did not think that if there was the quiet pup would scream for assistance, and so she read her body language and found it calm.

With newly loosened muscles Mati rose to a seated position and looked down at the small female. You're not getting into any trouble are you? Mati spoke with a teasing voice, knowing very well that Parker would be the last of Savina and Kansas’ newest trio.

Yay for short posts from brain-deadness lol

It did not take Parker long to catch her breath, nor did it take Mati long to notice her, just as she had hoped. She greeted the Nanny with a broadened smile and a vigorous wag of her white-tipped tail, expressing her happiness to be acknowledged by the young woman. However, Parker was caught off guard by the question posed by the Church woman. The teasing tone hadn't quite registered, and the tiny pup was up on her feet in a flash shaking her head emphatically, ears flat against her head nervously. She wasn't getting into trouble, honest!

Even after Parker began to think that Mati's question hadn't been serious, the sunshine pup continued to attempt an explanation of what she was doing, without words. Golden orbs looked repeatedly from Haven manor to Mati to the meadow and back again, ending with Parker crouching on the ground in a play bow, hoping that the Nanny would understand that her intentions were to play with her in the meadow.

The cinnamon and sugar girl finished her silent explanation and stared up at the purple orbs expectantly, praying that her perfect record had not been tarnished. After all, she hadn't come outside by herself. She had come outside to be with Mati and she'd made it safely. Hopefully Mati would understand. After all she hadn't been entirely serious had she? The cinnamon toned girl was not sure, so she had tried to play it safe. Now she was focused only with having fun with Mati.

Parker’s quiet nature was something that Mati had not known before. At this time in their development pups should be attempting to speak at least some jumbled words. But Mati had not heard a single word from the small girl. Of course it did not make her believe that she lacked in intelligence. Savina and Kansas’ children were always bright, and even if Parker was not loud she was still just as smart as her brother and sister. She gave away her emotions not by speaking them just simply by expressing them on her vivid features. Mati could not help but wag her tail in rhythm with the younger wolf’s. A puppy’s energy was contagious, and Mati knew that few wolves could resist turning into one themselves when presented with a pup. Energy that she once lacked came rushing back to her.

Though, the joke that she attempted to play was not being seen in the correct light. The pale hued pup grew uneasy and submissive, ears falling back as her face grew unhappy. I know you’d never look for trouble Parker. Mati insisted with a small smile, trying to quell the other wolf’s weariness. If there was any of the new Dreamers that would tow the line and stay out of mischief it was this little girl. Compared to Artemis especially. The pup would make them all grow gray.

Her posture spoke of the hopes of playing, and Mati was not surprised at all. What was more fun? Quickly she thought of a new game for them to engage in and spoke, Because your such a good girl, we should play… Mati paused with the hopes of creating a bit of suspense for Parker. The Nanny didn’t know if she had played the game before, since it was a fairly common one, but even so it wasn’t one that got old very fast. hide and go seek! Mati was on her paws now, upper body leaning close to the ground and her tail waving behind her. You go hide, and I’ll count to ten. Okay? The instructions were simple as were the rules, Mati promised not look of course.

The Sadira girl's relief was immediately apparent as Mati eased her worries. She wasn't in trouble, and Mati had only been kidding. What a relief indeed! Her record was still clean and blemish free. It was enough to make Parker spin around for joy. Of course, what came next only increased the tiny, cinnamon toned girl's excitement. Mati did want to play, and the quiet girl waited with baited breath until Mati revealed precisely what game they would play. Hide and go seek! Parker wasn't sure she knew that game, but it sounded pretty self-explanatory, especially as Mati delivered the instructions. All that she had to do was hide and Mati would come find her after counting to ten. That was easy enough! With a nod and an excited wag of her tail, Parker scampered off to hide. She did not know if she was supposed to go before Mati started counting or after. But since the first option gave Parker a little more time, she naturally chose it.

As Mati disappeared from sight, through the tall grass of the meadow, Parker made a point to listen to the Nanny's voice, no matter how far away it was. Keeping track of what number she was on would give Parker the best chance of knowing when to hide. The sunshine pup was careful with each step she took, trying to do as little as possible to damage the wildflowers in her path. The less evidence she left, the harder it would be for Mati to find her, thus prolonging the game. That sounded logical. Given that the count was only to ten, Parker had to make a choice quick, and unfortunately, being out in the middle of a meadow left much to be desired in the way of hiding places. However, just when all hope was lost, she found what she was looking for, a burrow, and a well hidden one at that. The wildflowers had all grown up around it, and there were no fresh tracks or scents to indicate that something still called it home, and better yet it was just big enough for the petite Sadira girl to wiggle into. So as Mati's voice echoed over the meadow, reaching nine, Parker wriggled her way into the burrow, finding it somewhat more spacious once inside, even with enough room for her to spin around and face the entrance. She stayed just out of sight, back from the entrance so as not to give herself away. How lucky was she? She'd found a great hiding spot! Mati would never be able to find her here.

Eye lids fluttered closed, and darkness came over the female, a smile toying with her lips.

One The female began with a loud and slow tone. Of course Mati could count to ten quite quickly, speeding through the simple numbers in less then three seconds but she needed to give Parker some time to find herself a hiding place. Mati knew well that her little paws would not take her too far in the small span of time, and of course the game could not be too easy, who’s confidence would she be growing if she did that? Two The sound rang through the meadow around her, all other natural voices seemed to grow quiet as she counted. Her nose was working, and the smell of the little pup was drifting further from where she sat. Three Mati shifted in the grass, her ears moving slightly as she searched for the paw steps that could still be herd beyond where she was planted.

Four The Nanny sniffed the pollen that was so heavily laded on the meadow grasses and flowers. Five The halfway point came quickly as she could no longer hear the silent child’s pawfalls, her ears swiveled backwards and her smile was lost for a moment. Six Mati called, her voice seeking the range of the pup ears. The large wolfess gave a sigh, Seven She was tempted to open her eyes, growing self conscious that she had not looked around her and feeling a bit exposed. Eight At that count she turned her head, her nose searching for Parkers scent and finding it but not the true source. Eye fluttered but remain closed, knowing that the game would be no fun if she cheated. Nine Now the anticipation was growing and Mati could not help but stumble over the last number, Ten! She yelled, coming to her paws and opening her purple eyes.

The Dreamer turned, searching for the little pale female among the green grasses. I’m going to find you Mati boasted as she pointed her head towards the ground and shuffled through the meadow, her nose doing the most work.

The count was finished, and Mati had just declared that she was going to find her. Parker couldn't help but wiggle her rear in excitement as she huddled underground in her burrow hiding spot. She hoped that the wildflowers would hide her scent a little bit, and all the overgrown grass and flowers would hide the burrow. Mati would have to work to find Parker, though hopefully not too hard. Parker wanted a turn to seek, though it would be difficult to count so loud without being talking. The cinnamon girl pondered how she might get around such a problem, only to decide that she would cross that bridge when she came to it. Golden orbs peered up at the entrance to the burrow. She couldn't hear Mati, or smell her and she dared not take a peak for fear of exposing her location. The petite pup made the decision that she would just have to trust that Mati was looking nearby and not risk it.

As often occurs in a game of anticipation like hide and go seek, it was becoming just as hard for Parker to wait as it was for Mati to try and find her. The anticipation of being surprised by Mati's sudden appearance was eating at the pale Sadira pup's resolve, slowly but surely. In fact she had to lay down and tuck her tail between her legs just to stop it from wagging so much and brushing all the dirt from the top of the burrow onto herself. The floor of the burrow was nice and cool, a perfect place to lie down and wait to be found, all while contemplating other potential hiding spots in the meadow. She would have to be faster at finding a spot next time. Finding this hole in the ground had been a lucky break for her. A few seconds longer and she would have been standing there exposed in the field with Mati right on her tail. As it seemed with most things, Parker just needed practice, something she was more than happy to do.

this thread is fun ^^

Where oh where was Parker?

Mati sniffed around the spot where the little pup had been sitting, then followed the hazy invisible trail that she had left behind as she scurried through the grass in hopes of finding a good hiding place. The older Dreamer stepped over the flowers that sprouted among the greenery, their petals a daring a color against the monotony of the constant jade. Their pollen was heavy, the bees that searched for their nectar buzzing among them. It filled her ears, and drew her keen prey driven eyes away from the trail with their zig zaging dances. But the Nanny would not stray from her task, even if the darting yellow and black bodies made for such a large annoyance. Mati returned to the trail after only one lift of her head, but when she did the scent was not as strong, her mind not as focused.

The fey took to it again, searching in the hopes of locking on the smell of the pup and finding her. It would only be a few more moment, three more steps she guessed. They would bring her to the light toned puppy, any second now. When the fourth step came violet eyes looked around and her jaw hung slack, her tongue rolling forward as she panted lightly. Her brow creased, a slight bout of frustration rolling up through her. Where was she? Mati then took to trampling the grass and flowers, she felt the scent was everywhere now, surrounding her and yet the little creature could not be seen.

Where was she? The question again could not be answered and Mati was silent yet her mind screamed the puppy's name, trying to remain collected on the outside. Unknowingly she rounded the hidden burrow, the scent was so close and yet Parker could not be seen. Had someone taken her? There was no other scent, and the only fear she noticed… belonged to herself. The silent Sadira child was now lost, and Mati felt her stomach twist low in her gut. Parker? She called out now, trying to hide her panic the best she could. Come on out, Parker. Her voice cracked as she spoke the pups name once again, her head turned left to right and long legs rushing through the meadow as she made one circle after another.

How could this have happen?

The wait was becoming tougher and tougher by the second. When was Mati going to find her? She hadn't tried that hard to hide. Sure she had wanted to find a good hiding place, but Mati was an adult, surely she had played this game a lot more than Parker had. Yet, for some reason the young Sadira girl was still undiscovered, and now each passing second seemed more like an hour and Parker was having more and more trouble keeping still. Now she wanted to be found. At first she had wanted to play the game right, and win, but now it was just becoming boring, even for a quiet, thoughtful puppy like Parker. She normally liked just sitting still and listening to the world around her. However, there wasn't much to listen to here in a hole.

Fortunately for Parker, Mati had just called her name. In fact she sounded a little upset. Had Parker not played the game right? Gosh she sure hoped she had. She didn't want to be in trouble. So, without hesitation Parker poked her head out of the whole and looked around for the brown form of the Nanny. It did not take long for her gold orbs to find her and it took even less time for her to be out of the burrow and in front of Mati, ears flat against her head praying that she wasn't in trouble. After all, Mati had just said go hide. She didn't say how well. Little did Parker know that she was covered in dirt from having wiggled out of the burrow. Her cinnamon and white coat now had bits of dark earth clinging to it. With any luck Mati would see her appearance and know where she had been hiding. That was the only explanation the quiet girl could offer at this point anyway.

She felt a large ball of regret building in her stomach. What had she done? The large wolfess moved through the meadow quickly as she began to panic. She moved away from where the scent was heaviest, trampling flowers and making more noise then she ever would in a normal mindset. It was horrible, she had lost Savina’s puppy, this was worst then what Naniko had done to Cambi. The thought brought tears to her eyes, she was a horrid as she mother. As lazy and neglectful, just as horrible. She heaved, and panted. Her chest felt tight, as it had when she was a young wolf. Mati hadn’t had a panic attack in what felt like forever, but the tension in her body, the racing thoughts and the dread and fear were like old friends to her, familiar and easy to return to her.

Her eyes closed pushing away the tears, her mind focusing and drawing strength from things deep inside. She could not think of Cambira, could not think of Anu or Savina. It all made her recede back into the panic. She told herself to breathe, in and out with steady counts. She got to a count of five and she felt the tension ease, just enough that she could breathe easily enough to lift her head and look out into the meadow once more.

Mati caught the sight of something moving, and she darted towards it. The pale cinnamon colored pup was covered in soil, making her much closer in color to Mati. The older wolfess wore a smile, wide and willed with relief. Where she had been didnt matter, she was safe and unharmed and here. The Nanny laid on the ground, bringing her eye to the level of the yellow orbs belonging to Parker. There you are, silly She spoke with heavy relief in her voice and a smile. I think you won. Mati said with a wave of her tail. The Major felt much like a reluctant pup, certain that she didn’t want to play that game again. You wanna get that dirt washed off? she asked with a cock of her head. There was no way Mati was going to let this girl out of her sight now…a bath seemed like a safe bet.

Golden orbs stared into the purple of the Nanny, showing the concern that she had done something wrong. Yet, rather than scolding or any sort of upset tone of voice, Parker was greeted with joy, in fact something that sounded like relief in Mati's voice. How wonderful, she wasn't in trouble. In fact, Mati was glad to see her, very glad it seemed. To top it all off, she had won the game. Of course, she hadn't yet figured entirely how she had won it, but she had. Flattened ears perked up and a smile of her own greeted Mati as the dark brown woman lowered herself to Parker's eye level. She was relieved in her own right that the Church fae wasn't mad at her for hiding so well. She would have to be more careful next time, maybe hide a bit further out in the open. Mati seemed like she had really been worried about her. That wasn't good. Games were supposed to be fun for everyone, not scary.

At the opportunity to wash off, Parker confusedly turned and looked at herself, only to see her cinnamon and white pelt covered in dark brown soil. At first she had thought to decline the offer, but seeing that she really did need it, a bath sounded wonderful. A gentle nod of her head indicated just how ready Parker was for a bath. She wasn't a huge fan of being this dirty. A little dirt didn't hurt anyone, and this dirt wasn't causing her any difficulty, but the idea of cleaning up seemed better than just staying dirty. What if mama saw her? She likely would not be happy that Parker had gotten herself covered in dirt. Mati's plan would prevent that entire scenario from ever occuring, which in turn made it an even better option.

If she had been in Optime form Mati would have scooped the puppy up and toted her around in her arms. Relieved beyond belief, the Nanny looked at the little one’s reaction and tried to speak with as much warmth as her grateful voice could manage. She had certainly been worried about her, but she wouldn’t place the blame on the puppy. She had done exactly what the game entailed, Parker had hid. And she had done a good job with the task that she had been given. The wolfess should have been more attentive, cheating even. It would have told her where the puppy was at all times, and she could have let Parker win even with the knowledge of her hiding place. Her safety was the most important of all.

With the agreement, Mati turned to set off for the nearest stream. She kept her pace slow enough for the pup to keep up, not wanting her to trail behind just incase she found another burrow to fall into. Momma wont like it if you track dirt into the house. She spoke, her tone light and mater of fact. It was important that they both got the dust from their bodies, for Mati felt a little bit on her snout and paws.

The two females strode casually as they cut across the small valley. They were silent, as they did so and the Church female wondered why it was that Parker had yet to begin speaking. She had thought on it before, and could not yet figure what it was that kept her so quiet. Perhaps she talked to the other pups, or just her mother and father. But was it right to place it all on shyness? Shrugging it off Mati slowed as they entered the lightly wooded forest beyond the grassy meadow, the scent of water filling her nose. Here we go. Mati stepped into the shallow running water, smiling at Parker.

The cinnamon and sugar Sadira pup could not be happier. She had won the game. She hadn't gotten in trouble, and now she was going to get a bath. Swimming was something that the little girl had only experienced once with her family, but she had liked it. Water was fun, whether she was dirty or not. Today, however, she was dirty and in need of cleaning. Mati was right, mama would not want her tracking dirt into the manor, and Parker did not want to upset mama. So a bath had been the natural choice.

Golden orbs locked on the brown form of the nanny as she led the way towards the stream. Not a word was spoken between them, which simply meant Mati led the way in silence since Parker was not doing any talking to begin with. Rather, the soil covered pup scampered behind her friend with a gleeful smile on her face, her eyes only ever wandering briefly to catch glimpses of the surrounding flora and fauna. Upon arriving at the stream, Mati waded in before her waiting for her to follow. It took only a second before Parker charged into the rushing water after the nanny, her small feet finding it somewhat difficult to hold her upright against the current. Within moments of entering the water Parker slipped and dipped underneath the current cleaning her entire body. She quickly bobbed back up again and caught her breath, shaking her head to wake herself up from the shock. The current in the stream would have seemed gentle to an adult like Mati, but to the petite Sadira pup even a gentle current was a struggle for her. However, when she reached Mati, Parker braced herself against the older femme's leg keeping her from falling over again. The brief fall hadn't even dampened Parker's spirits, though it had cleaned her coat and left her soaked. She liked the water and, as with most things she discovered and enjoyed, she hoped to master it one day when she got a little older. For now, though, she had Mati to help her.

nuu Parker cant float away!

Mati had rolled around a bit in the grass and dirt, and she felt the need for a refreshing wade in the stream herself. The sun was bright and her coat thick, making her toasty most days during the summer months. The Dreamer held her head high as they wandered to the stream, finding that fulfilling her duty as a Nanny was bringing her a sense of pride. Some day she would care for her own pups, though she knew not how such a thing would come about, but when that day came she would be ready. Having practiced so much with all the other litters that had been produced since she had come of age she felt completely prepared.

Parker splashed into the water, running after Mati. The Church female gave a soft laugh as she watched her, loving her innocent nature as she doused herself with the streams flowing water. The female could not help but notice that even the slow current of the crick was threatening to take hold of the small pup and carry her off. Under the light brown and cream fluffy fur there was not much a wolf, and her weight might not hold her down.

The water only lapped at Mati’s ankles, and so she laid out in it, her back against the push of the moving water and creating a bit of a dam. Her length was about the width of the small creek, and the extra water flowed around her form rather then building and flowing over it. It was cool, making her sigh with sweet relief. Lazily she lapped at the shallows that her body had created.

Parker won't wash away, she'll just pass out asleep

Her whole body shook as Parker did her best to free her soft pelt of the chilly water that now soaked it. Though she did indeed love the cool substance, for it was a fascinating and fun thing, being soaked to the bone was something that took a bit of getting used to. That and having to brace herself against the current left the tiny Sadira girl quite tired. However, it was not long before Mati came to her rescue yet again, lying down in the stream to block off the majority of the current. With the slowed flow of the stream, the cinnamon and sugar girl was finally able to relax, her tiny form collapsing with a gentle splash next to the brown furred nanny. Lying down in the now crawling current was much easier, and she could understand why Mati seemed to be enjoying it so much.

Salmon pink tongue lapped up the cool water, quenching the thirst that young Parker had built up from today's activities. It was not long before Parker even started to get drowsy, her puppy batteries using the last bit of juice they held to struggle to keep her eyes open. It was the perfect place to conk out, right? It was cool, and safe. She had Mati to sleep against, and absolutely nothing to worry about. A quiet, but obvious yawn served as a warning to the Church woman that her little charge was losing the fight with the sandman. Golden orbs were now just small slits visible through heavy, half-shut eyelids. Seconds passed before her head began to bob, signaling that she was only milliseconds away from crashing. Sleep was both wonderful and cruel in many ways, bringing even the most active excitable puppy to their knees, and there was little that anyone could do to stop it.

wrap up soon?

It was something that Mati had been fighting since she had ventured out into the meadow. And as she lay in the cool water the same feeling was drifting back to her. It was quiet, with the small pup that lay in front of her so silent and not at the least bit chattery. The only thing that spoke to her was a the soft hum of the forest around them and the bubbling voice of the brook.

The two lay in the water as minutes passed, and Mati blinked lazily and lifted her face up to the small streams of sunlight that found their way through the tree’s foliage. It was just enough to warm her face and keep the chill away. Purple eyes looked down at the buttery colored pup, who’s head was beginning to fall in the obvious sleepy manner.

Mati gave her a moment or two more and then nudged her slightly with her ink-hued nose. Time to get going. her voice was soft to only gently keep the puppy from falling asleep in the shallow water and thus catch a cold that she as well as Mati would truly regret. You first. Parker would need to scoot before the Nanny did, so that she wouldn’t be washed away when the dam was removed.

Perhaps we could end with your next post?

Bump...then some words, Parker's eyes blinked open, startled awake by Mati's urge to get going. Normally Parker was not one to complain, but she was so tired. Why couldn't they just take a little rest? However, at the Church woman's second urging, the cinnamon and sugar girl staggered, drowsily, to her feet and scampered out of the stream, though with much less vigor than when she had scampered into the rushing current. The air felt cold on her tiny form, even after she shook herself dry. Now she definitely wanted to go home, where it was warm. It would be hard for her to make it there, but with Mati's encouragement the quiet, Sadira girl would get back to Haven Manor without incident.

What awaited Parker there was undoubtedly a warm place to just curl up and pass out, precisely what her delicate, puppy body was begging to do. But she had many miles to go before she slept, or at least it seemed somewhat like it to one with such short legs. In reality, Parker knew it was not but a few minutes journey to the back door of the mansion, but exhaustion seemed to color everything but rest as an arduous task threatening her with its impossibility. However, even as she started to trudge on towards home, there was one factor keeping her awake more than anything. Mati was right behind her, there to keep her moving in the right direction. The silent girl would offer no complaint, not even a whimper of discontent at the Nanny's urges onward. In fact, Mati's encouragement would be the primary stimulus keeping her awake, for which she was somewhat grateful. She didn't want to fall asleep on her feet and risk sleep walking. Parker had heard about people getting into accidents while walking around in their sleep, and she didn't want that. So it was Mati's job to keep her awake. Parker would lead the way, sort of, and Mati would keep her awake. What a team they were!

sounds good! & i added your points ^^

They would both need a nap after their games. Mati would likely bring Parker to her room and settle her into bed for a good nap. Though, for all she knew the pup would want to go back to playing once they reached the Manor. The two rose from the stream, one at a time and Mati shook her big form to rid her coat of extra water just after Parker did. She knew that the pup would be cold, for she could feel a bit of a chill herself. In silence they both climbed the small bank and made the short journey to their home. The sun and the activity made a nap the best possible solution to both their drowsiness, and a warm bed the solution to their chilled bodies.

The Nanny could see the pup’s head bob and her eyes flutter and try to stay open. Every once in a while she gave the small frail pup a little lick on the ear, or a nudge of her nose. It should have only taken them a few moments but both their speeds were low and lazy and the adult felt like she needed someone behind her to give her a nudge to keep moving.

But the sight of the house made her step quicken, and she lifted her head to look at the large building. Every so often Mati looked at her home with a bit of awe, reflecting on how wonderful it was for them to live there and how much she enjoyed it. She couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. But at this moment she couldn’t think so deeply, wanting to curl up and sleep just as much as Parker did. Mati opened the door once they got there and steered the pup to the room she shared with her siblings.

Come Parker. She beckoned though the pup was no doubt right there and ready to settled among the blankets. Purple eyes blinked, heavy and searching for relief. She didn’t get far herself, lying down beside the pale youth and falling asleep right along with her.
