For Rikka
Let me know if I need to change anything.

Black hooves cut into the surf, sinking into the wet sand before being lofted above the water's reach. Only to plunge downward again as the massive horse cantered through the surf. Each step sending water splashing skyward, soaking the legs of his rider as well as his own. The honey-hued wolf giving a click of her tongue as his pace slowed. A little bit further and we will give it a rest. Anann reassured her companion. While it might have appeared a leisurely ride along the beach, the sand and water created a lot of resistance. Giving the war horse more of a workout than Anann could ever hope to achieve in Shiloh Hills. After a winter of travel it had taken quite time for them both to get back into well enough shape to start training seriously.

Once Rem had worked up a decent sweat, Anann slowed him to a walk. Riding out of the surf and into the dry sand of the beach. Were it clung to the wet legs of the stallion and feathering around his hooves. Once his breathing had slowed to normal she slid off his back and walked along side him. There was a little shack along the stretch of beach. It was different from the last time she had seen, and who knew how long ago that had been. A couple of moons maybe? Before it had been uninhabited, but it seemed someone had been working on it.

As they grew closer Anann was able to distinguish the feminine scent from the heavy musk of the sea. She could tell it was someone she had yet to meet, though that was about the extent of knowledge she could glean from the scent. However the morning was still young and cool, She didn't really want to disturb the woman's slumber, should she still be asleep. However, the closer they came Anann began to hear the sounds she knew all to well be the result of a heavy night's drinking. While Anann became even more determined not to great a disturbance, Rem had other ideas it would seem. The large, black stallion left her side, wandering casually towards the beach shack. Upon finding a window, the horse stuck his head in the pane-less hole to peer in and see what the fuss was all about. His curled forelock, hanging in a mess over his face. Rem. REM! Get out of there! Anann yelled after him, as well as one can yell in a hushed voice at least.

s'all good with me! 300+

Ugh, her head! Rikka couldn't remember the last time she had gotten so drunk. In fact, after a certain point, she couldn't even remember what had happened last night. Now the blood in her head was pounding like a bass drum and every time she opened her eyes even the small amount of light in her shack was blinding and painful. What she remembered of the night before had been nice, but she wasn't sure it was worth going through all this pain now. Usually when she was hungover it was just her head that ached, but other parts of her body were sore as well. The woman rolled to her side and wrapped her arms around her stomach. Something didn't seem right though. She didn't have her skirt on? That was odd, she didn't remember taking it off. The thought was abandoned though when the vice grip encircling her head clamped down harder, a pained moan coming from between her lips.

Rikka thought she heard movements outside, but at the moment she was doing all she could to keep the outside world at an arm's length and retreat into herself. She just needed to sleep this off and then she'd feel better. At least that was her hope. She didn't know if she'd ever been quite this hungover before. Maybe if she smoked some she'd feel better, but the notion of crawling to find her bag wasn't an inviting one, so she stayed curled up on her bed. Golden eyes were closed and she thought she could feel sleep starting to wrap around her again when a noise that couldn't be ignored came from right above her head.

Carefully she opened her eyes, squinting up to find the source of the disturbance. Was that...a horse? God, was she so sick she was seeing things? Tentatively a hand rose to see if she could touch the disembodied head that had entered her window. Hot breath blew against her outstretch hand and her brows knit together ever tighter than they already were. "Huh?" This was too weird, and she was too out of it to make any kind of sense of it.

Anann stomped through the sand and after the horse that was obviously ignoring her protests. His head had disappeared into the window of the small, sea side hut. Hand placed on her hips in annoyance, she tried to get the horse to listen to reason. Rem, Rem please come out of there! She might not have worried so much if she at least had an idea of who the hut belonged to, but the feminine scent was unknown to her and so she highly doubted that the apparently hangover woman within too impressed with her equine intruder. There was no sign that her words were even heard by the dark horse, so she began to push and shove at the horse's chest and shoulder. Still he did not budge or move. Though he did seem to be sniffing at something now.

Anann was no stranger to the throbbing, splitting pain that a little over indulgence could result in. Whiskey and Rum had taken her to that point many times before. Where the slightest sound was deafening and the faintest light seemed searing and blinding to the eyes. Anann imagined that she-wolf within was surely doing her best to hide away from the outside world, that's what she would have been doing at least. She was reluctant to try and enter the home herself, but Rem was giving her little choice since she could not get him to remove himself form the other's residence. She tried to peer around the neck and head of the horse to see inside, but there was little she could see and the woman laying under friesian's head was completely hidden from her sight. You're impossible! She muttered to the horse before making her way around the corner of the structure and towards the door.

There was few that Anann would want stumbling into her home, had she been the hangover one. She did her best to keep the volume of her voice audible, but not so loud that it would cause the other's head to split. Hello? Miss? She peeked inside the door, leaning in slightly, though her feet refused to cross the threshold. Are you alright, Ma'am? Just barely making out a form wrapped in blankets, under the window were Rem's head could be seen. At the sight of her own horse she could only roll her eyes and shake her head. What had he gotten them into this time?
