Should we perhaps just fade to black or something? XD this thread is soooo outdated <3

It should have been uncomfortable to be pressed so close to another body; Halo was not a very social being all in all, and physical contact was difficult for her to deal with after Samael, so more often than less she violently shied away from touch. One of her uncles had witnessed an outbreak of her vibrant discomfort, but mostly she did not need to worry about someone doing anything that required them to come close to her personal space. This felt right, and she allowed more of her weight to lean against his lovely, muscular frame. She saw herself as an unlucky creature, but this was not an unfortunate development. His voice caressed her copper hued ears and perhaps the ghost of a smile moved across her lips.

He spoke the words she wished for him to speak, and everything was not bad after all. It was strange how emotions could change so dramatically, but she appreciated it greatly and attempted to snuggle closer against his form despite it being more or less impossible. Her hands moved to reach around his frame as well, reluctant to risk him letting go of her too soon. ”Thank you,” her serene voice carried forth, gratitude thick in her tones.

How had it fallen to this? So much had happened over the last half hour or so that Silas was almost exhausted by the practical whiplash of emotion. The rollercoaster ride had brought them from the hallway, to Silas’ room, and then back again to the deserted hallway. He had only silently wondered if anyone else in the mansion had heard their exchange, but hopefully his room’s relative solitude from everyone else would have kept most of their words private. The outcome, however, could have not been better. This was what he had always imagined – Halo tangled in his arms as he hugged her close to him. Who knew what this interaction meant for the future. It was just relieving to the young Russian to have some of these thoughts out in the open; now Halo finally had insight into how Silas actually felt.

Of course, there was still the notion of the child tucked away in her room. However, he was not the product of a loving relationship, which meant that Silas still had opportunity. Still, perhaps this could hinder him in some way. Maybe after all Halo had dealt with, she wouldn’t want the hassle of dealing with another’s affections. Time would tell.

For now, Silas clung dearly to the woman in his arms, even venturing to let his muzzle settle into her coppery hair. He couldn't let her go. Not just yet.
